Bring on the 'Manders

Ciar leaned back on her elbows as she lay on the grass in a half reclining position next to the medium sized fires built out on the grounds. It was rather amusing to watch the six legged, little salamanders dart in and out of the flames. Rolling over and grabbing her note book and quill from beside her, she flipped open the top of her ink pot.

Coaxing one of the salamanders over to her with an offering of pepper the Irish teen proceeded to sketch the lizard while holding it still with one hand. They were interesting little creatures, Ciar had to give them that. She shifted the creature slightly and resumed drawing, trying to capture all it's features.

Finishing with the fires, Viola leaned back and smiled proudly. The salamanders would be happy for a while now, until she could move them inside. She began to move back towards the castle, surprised to see a student; her class was far from popular.

"D-Don't get paper close to him," she called, breaking into a jog, "I'm Professor Seuss! Nice to have you in class,"

She stopped, giving a youthful smile. "What do you know about salamanders?"

Listening to the professor approach Ciar tilted her head slightly in acknowledgement, glad she had remembered her dragon hide glove before touching the salamander. It would have been kinda dumb for her to have forgotten that. She lifted her quill from her now finished drawing and wiped the nib before sticking it into her hair and letting the creature go.

"I know quite a bit about a lot of creatures," Ciar answered smoothly, rolling onto her back and tucking her hands behind her head. "Salamanders I'm no expert on but I know that they have six legs, as can be plainly seen, and that six is also the number of hours they can live away from the fire of their birth if fed pepper. However, they'll only live that long if the fire they came from keeps burning. That's how you can really tell they're magical salamanders." She studied the sky above her and thought about how everything she knew was almost nothing compared to what her brother knew.
