It was late evening when Ksenia found herself sitting on a small hill, leaning against the tall tree that had low branches. They provided some feeling of safety, though the girl new that people would only be able to see her form in this darkness. She didn't want to be seen by anyone at that moment. The Slushatel Prefect stared silently at the sea, her arms wrapped around her legs, as silent tears poured down her face. Normally those tears would be held back by vodka, but she had stopped drinking since the Warrior's Vow was made. She knew that she would require a clear head after that, there was no reason to keep running away any more.

Re: Silent Tears
Jaelyn was practicing a few enchantments when she spotted the other girl on the hill. Smirking, she tucked her wand back into her long, dark green sleeves and began to climb towards her. Sokol was sharp- it was good to exercise her conversational skills with someone on the same level of intellect as herself. And of course, over time, this had lead to an unspoken friendship. Jaelyn grimaced slightly. Friends often lead to weakness.
She did not have time for weaknesses.
The girl stopped dead in her tracks, just a few meters away from Ksenia now. She was crying.
Jaelyn groaned inwardly- tears? She couldn't deal with tears. It was too sensitive for her. She looked around, as if searching for an answer...or an escape, preferably. Running a hand through her hair, Jaelyn shook her head tiredly. Time to deal with the waterworks.
She continued to walk towards Ksenia and stopped close to her, then coughed noisily.
"Alright, Sokol?"

Re: Silent Tears
Ksenia looked up when she heard someone approach her, tensing before she recognised Jaelyn. The girl relaxed back into the tree and continued as she had before the Hitrost student had arrived. "Not any worse than I usually am," she replied to the question as she closed her eyes for a second, her tears still falling.

Re: Silent Tears
Shit.
Exactly how was she meant to deal with this? Jaelyn would rather die than be a cuddly, sensitive little- The girl almost gagged before she could even finish the thought.
Not any worse than I usually am. ...well, that was just helpful. Really- Sokol wanted to talk feelings, now? Actual, sadness and wallow in self pity? Jaelyn despised people who did that- the hatred was only seconded by her passionate dislike for tears themselves.
"Right." she said plainly, shoving her hands in her pockets, scanning the area subtly for an escape. This walk had been a terrible mistake for Jaelyn, in her view.

Re: Silent Tears
Ksenia continued to sit silently, not looking at Jaelyn. "Do you know where I went this summer?" she asked the other girl. They never really talked about things that were awfully personal, they were good like that. But to Ksenia, everything was changing, maybe for the worse or maybe for the better, she wasn't really sure. But it was hard, all of it was hard. She was forced to fight. If she didn't fight then she would just cease to be. And she would do everything she could to stop that from happening.

Re: Silent Tears
Jaelyn sighed, trying to fight a tempting patronizing tone with the other girl.
"No, Sokol, I don't." So she just wanted to catch up about summer holidays. And was crying because of it? Jaelyn rolled her eyes mentally. She'd thought Ksenia was a bit tougher than that.
"But I was out hunting, if that helps." she remarked dryly, cracking her knuckles absently.

Re: Silent Tears
"I spent the summer in the Sicarius library searching for the prophecy that connected their line to the lineage of the Coeus witches. My lineage," Ksenia stated simply as if she said that type of thing every day. It was time to set some things straight. It hurt too much keeping it all to herself now. And she knew Jaelyn for more than three years now. She knew that she could trust her.
the Slushatel remained sitting as she was as she waited for her friend's reply.

Re: Silent Tears
Jaelyn paused for a moment, her hand rubbing the side of her jaw unconsciously. "Interesting lineage." she came out with finally, breaking the shocked silence. Jaelyn dropped her hand and turned to face the other girl properly.
"So you spent the summer at Lucifer's place, then?" she raised an eyebrow at her. Might as well start somewhere with the questions and work her way up. Jaelyn frowned slightly- she didn't completely trust the Sicarius family. But Ksenia wasn't an idiot- most of the time, anyway.

Re: Silent Tears
Ksenia turned to look up at her finally after her question. "is that the first thing you asked right now?" she said, raising her eyebrow slightly. She laughed, wasn't sure why, but she did. The question just seemed so inappropriate fro the situation. "I barely saw Lucifer the whole time I was there. The night we arrived was awful," she said as she closed her eyes and leaned her head back against the tree, remembering the night.
