by Faye sat quitely by the window, looking out at the warming weather, watching the other kids run about the grounds. It was the last day before break, if they didn't have class, or were skipping it, then everyone was outside.
The commonroom was desereted. Except for the lone girl sitting out at the window, her thin face mared with a serious look.
She knew the date, it was a very special date, a date she should be celebrating she supposed but she couldn't help but wonder, the nagging thought always in the back of her head, this day drawing it forward with a force that she could not deny.
Would she be around this time next year? Or would she be....
Today Faye was Fourteen.
But she couldn't help but worry, wonder, thinking... woud she even make it to Fifiteen?
