Alice sat at the edge of the lake, humming a soft tune while she watched the sun setting. She needed to think. The year was ending and she needed to get her life back, that was all she had decided. But how to do that? She had no idea.

Her early Hogwarts days had been a mess, but after fifth year, she had felt free again. Now, it seemed like her parents had took control again. And she did not want that.

She felt someone sit near her but didn't give much thought, too lost in her own head.

It was a nice day out in France and Alexander really had nothing to do so he had decided to go down by the lake. Smiling up at the sky he walked by the water humming a song. That is until he tripped over a girl and tumbled to the ground. “Oh gosh I’m so sorry,” He said, “Zut, je suis tellement désolé, s'il vous plaît pardonnez-moi de ne pas prêter attention à l'endroit où je vais.” He spoke the second part in rather horrible French. “Are you okay?”

"Ah!" Alice shrieked as someone tripped over her and came tumbling down to the ground and her eyes widened as she got up to look at the boy. "Oh, ce n'est pas grave," she said, shaking her head. French was not her best language, but she could manage.

Relieved when the boy spoke in English, Alice nodded, "I'm fine, are you alright?" She frowned when she took a closer look at the boy, recognizing him faintly, "Alex Vorstenbach?"
