Personality: Mars is not a nice person. He craves power and violence, and knowledge only because of the power it may provide. He derives pleasure from pain – be it the pain of others, or himself.

Though he is highly intelligent, Mars takes a rather flippant attitude towards life. His overconfidence leads him to irresponsibility, and his masochism to recklessness. Though he does fear both death and handicap, he still feels that he is largely untouchable.

Overall history: Mars was born in the United States. His mother gave birth to him while she was still very young to an American Quidditch player who was at least ten years her senior. Tiberius Pagan was killed during a practice match when Mars was seven. A gambling addict, he had nothing to leave to his girlfriend and young son.

At the age of eleven, Mars started attending the wizarding school outside of the famed Salem, Massachusetts, where he attended for a couple of years until his mother met and fell in love with Irish curse-breaker Willem Cormac while the man was conducting business in the states. After marrying, Willem moved Haley and her son to live with him in Ireland, insisting that Mars receive private tutelage from highly qualified instructors (who found the boy brilliant, but different to keep engaged).

The three of them lived rather happily together for about a year before tragedy struck: Willem was killed in an unfortunate work accept. Due to the fact that Willem's parents forced Haley to sign an agreement that she and her son would receive nothing in the event of Willem's death, mother and son were once more penniless and alone. Haley obtained employment at a local pub as both waitress and housekeeper.

Mars was without instruction and supervision for several months, left to his own devices. He would often wander the nearby woods, studying what wildlife he could encounter. The boy had early on become rather obsessed with the relationship between predator and prey. The dominance of the hunter over the hunted thrilled him, excited him, and he became determined to find a way to make such raw power his own.

It was on a freezing winter day that Mars was able to make this ambition reality. The teen was approached by a man who offered him a deal. Anything he wanted in exchange for his soul. Mars had heard stories of demons, of course, yet despite knowing how foolish making such a deal would be, he did it anyway. He exchanged his soul in return for becoming a match for any man or beast - the ultimate predator.

The benefits of his deal were enhanced senses, speed, and physical strength, along with retractable claws and teeth. However, Mars also developed a taste for raw flesh and at times he is taken over by animalistic instincts and he behaves as a wild beast - comparable to a werewolf without the complete physical transformation. Despite the obvious ramifications, Mars fails to see this loss of control as a drawback, but rather another thing which empowers him.

Now, after nearly half a year out of school, Mars is officially enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry for the coming school year after taking the prerequisite placement tests.
