Overall history: Ellie was born to Charlie and Tina in London on April 1st, and was the only child that the two had. When Ellie was four, her father had an affair with one of his best friend's friends, and as a result him and her mother split up. Charlie married Mia a year later, and did not invite Ellie and her mother to the wedding.

Ellie first showed signs of magical powers when she was six, and her mother was, least to say, very concerned. She was taken to the doctor, who found nothing wrong with the young girl, but Tina knew that something was up. She made Ellie take up dancing, but the girl didn't really enjoy it. She preferred make-up art and hair styling, something which stayed with her for a long time.

Ellie's mother was injured while teaching a dance class, and she ended up breaking one of her arms and fracturing her right ankle. Ellie had to take care of her mother for weeks, and she would cheer Tina up by braiding her hair and making her look fit to go out with the queen. She became very well trained in a lot of muggle household (for lack of a better word) stuff.
