Overall history: Eleonore's parents abandoned her on a doorstep when she was only a baby. A couple from Lorraine adopted the young Canadian when she was 4 years old and took her in right away as their daughter. Ellie, however, named herself so they knew that they weren't her mother and father.

A few years later, the couple had a baby of their own. Jackson. Ellie loved the baby instantly and made him her brother. They became best friends. Then Ellie recieved the most horrific news of her life.

Jackson was diagnosed with Liver Cancer at age four. Ellie now worries about the boy day in and day out. She sends him letters from school whenever she can and even little presents. She knows that what she dreads is inevitable, she just wants to put it off.
