Personality: Mary is a soft, easy-going girl, who knows exactly what to do and when to do it. She's always determined about school, no matter what other students tell her about how hard it is, what is required of her and so on. She's stubborn and refuses to listen to what you tell her before it's been proved to be right.

Other than that, she's quite modest and shy to new people, and will often seem as quite awkward. However, when you get to know her a bit better, she can laugh, joke and have fun as a normal teenager would do. Generally she's very sweet and gentle, but with a very short-temper. Because of her modesty though, she keeps her thoughts to herself, and dislikes to tell people what she really think about various things.

Overall history: Mary was born in the neighboring city to her own, smaller town. She was born an hour after midnight. She was quick to learn both how to speak, and how to walk. Her family was even more surprised when the small child encountered a snake in the garden, one of those who're harmless, and spoke with it in parseltongue. The family was pleased, somewhat, that their eldest daughter had proved to have inherited a gift that had been on her father's side for a long time. The family soon experienced a terrible blow, when the city they lived in, Torres, figured she was a parselmouth. The city was originally filled with wizards and witches, and most of them believed Mary would grow up to be a very Dark wizard because of her 'gift'. The family moved to Quechne after a few years of critique, and straight afterwards the remains of the wizards and witches who chased them out of the town died or moved away, leaving the city to be purely based on Muggles.

In fact, the last family member to have spoken parseltongue within her family was Mary's great-great grandfather's brother, a well-known and powerful wizard.

Her family consists of two large wizarding families, although both of which are quite unknown due to the fact that they live hidden among muggle towns, although they do excist. Her mother's family had a life of poverty, and had a hard time feeding their 6 children. However, when Kari, Mary's mother married Thor, their lives changed drastically. Thor was from a richer wizard family, and despite the fact that they lived in different enviroments from birth, they fell for each other in a moment.

A few years after Mary's birth, Kari had another child. This one they called Ellie, and she became the sweetheart of the family. Despite Mary and Ellie's numerous quarrels, the two siblings love each other as most siblings would. The year after Ellie's arrival, the family got themselves a black and white cat. This old tom ended up being a loyal family cat, although when the time came for Mary to leave for Hogwarts, they decided she needed a new pet. The old tom just wouldn't handle any more magical enviroments. So they got Padfoot, named to honor Sirius Black who died decades ago.

Starting at Hogwarts became a time of excitement and happiness, and she adored the Diagon Alley. Mary had never been in the area before, and was amazed by the beautiful alley. Mary went to get a wand while her father got her the cream tom that would eventually be her dearest treasure.
