Squeaky Clean

Tara smiled at the next question, of all the questions she had to ask what the next tool was, she reached down to the stand, picked up the tool, and showed it to Casey.
"This little guy is called a polisher, it has a more technical term but its kinda awkward to say, what it does is what its name is, it polishes your teeth to make them bright"

Casey grinned. "Cool," she muttered, gazing at it. "Um, what about that one?" She pointed to a thin metal tube, connected to a cord. "Water came out of that earlier. Where does it come from? How does it get there? And what about that..." she paused, trying to remember the right word. "Oh, the camera up there? What's that for?"

(OOC: she's talking about the water squirter thing for rinsing and the x-ray cam.)

Tara grinned at the young curious girl, not often did many patients like learning.
"the water comes from the same pipes as you see in a normal tap, pressure let's the water spray outwords into a filter and out the tube, as for the camera, its used to take photos only with a twist as the photos are of the layers of your teeth".

Casey looked at the things, fascinated that such a thing was possible. "I never imagined things could even do that," she said. "That's really, really, really amazing." Suddenly, she realized something. "Oops, I'm keeping you from your job, aren't I?" she said guiltily. "I'm sorry."

Tara was in such a good mood, not many find what she used to be actually interesting, her smile turned to a warm understanding look at Casey.
"there is nothing to be sorry about, its been fairly calm. Plus you are talking to the head of the clinic so I can spend a little time helping you out".

Casey smiled. "Thanks. And congratulations for being the head, it's a big accomplishment." Casey guessed it was like being Head Healer at St. Mungo's. A big job, but also a respected one. "I'm happy to have someone explain what these things are. I mean they are going in my mouth." She grinned. "I can't even pick what next. You pick something to show me."

Tara let out a chuckle, being a clinic head was no joke, that's for sure, but she took it and enjoyed every second of it.

"Well lass we are about ready, however I need your help with something lass".
Tara placed a box filled with tiny paste cups on Casey's lap.
"Care to pick a flavor?"

Casey peered curiously into the box. "Uh, that one?" She pointed to one with a red lid. "What flavor did I even just pick?" she asked, grinning. She didn't care what it was, she'd stand by it. She had gotten a floor flavored Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean before and that had been disgusting. She could handle a normal flavor.

Tara gave a chuckle, not many patients picked pastes at random.
"you picked cinnamon lass" she said looking warmly "this paste is used to help with my polisher to smooth your teeth and shine them up, so I usually keep a lot of different flavors ready."

Casey smiled. "Ph, ok. I picked pretty good then, I think." She sat back in the chair. "Yay for shiny teeth!" she said, grinning. "How many favors do you have anyway?"

Slipping the paste into a small ring on her gloved hand Tara grinned, "100 and growing kiddo" she said with bubbling laughter, setting up three heads for her prophy onto the tray Tara asked only oone question for the fun of it.
"Are you ticklish?"

Casey's eyes widened comically and she seemed like a five year old, though she didn't care. "Wooooooow... Cool," she said. "That's a lot." She grinned cheekily, her dimple popping out. "Maybe a little- but don't tell anyone," she whispered confidentially. "Especially not my friend Danni. He'd definitely use it against me." Her eyes sparkled with fun.

Screwing on the brush tip on her handpiece Tara gave another giggle,"I wont, but my tooth tickler here is another story, just hold your hand out and see for yourself kiddo".

Casey put her palm out and giggled, snatching it back as Tara tickled it. She stuck her hand back out and laughed as it tickled. "That's cool! What else is it supposed to do?"

Tara thought to herself, you shouldnt worry bout that at all kiddo but out loud she said "well Its real name and its nickname should tell you what it does lass, its like a really fast toothbrush for now, then ill switch to this rubber cup to smooth and polish your teeth to a shine."

Casey smiled. "Awesome. Shiny teeth are great. Wouldn't want to blind anyone though, so let's be careful how bright we get them," she teased.

Tara tilted the chair back a little lower before giggling, "oh I would worry more about how much fun this will be kiddo" she said as she picked her corded tool up.
"you ready to get tickled lass?"

Casey laughed. The bubbly mood was contagious. "Sure." She laughed as the tool did indeed tickle. That's so weird, she thought. She tried not to squirm as it continued to tickle.

Taras face was still bubbly as she used the brush to gently wipe away the plaque that remained, "my little friend is kinda odd no?" She said unscrewing the brush and instead screwing on the rubber cup.
Now she thought, was the time to peel her paste as the strong scent of cinnamon filled the room,
Scooping a little of the paste she let out a cheeky grin as she spoke two words in raw humor.
"round two?"

Casey felt her lips turn up in a grin and nodded slightly, the tool still in her mouth. When Tara removed it, she answered "Yeah, it is." SHe watched Tara change the head on the brush and smiled at her joke. "I was born ready." She opened her mouth again.

Tara started spinning the tool a little faster wincing, the limiter was on the brush so now her handpiece was back to its usual buzzing nature, but she tried to keep a smile for her patient, "that taste good" she asked Casey with a cheerful voice, "sorry if my friend here is more noisy now, he can't help it really."

Casey felt the tool go faster, grinding in a wierd way. She couldn't decided if she hated it or not, but she noticed Tara's wince. "Yeah it does, thanks. Are you ok Dr. Middleton?"

Tara smiled at Casey, "this is nothing kiddo, i was actually worried about you seeing as the noise scares people at times, its kinda whiny" she said adding the last of the paste to her tool.
"this is gonna be the most funny part as I have to get the inner teeth kiddo, the gums there are quite tender so the tickling will be more....just more ok?"

Casey nodded. "Alright, it actually doesn't bother me. I've heard worse."

She nodded again. "Ok." She tried not to squirm as the tool really did tickle a lot more, and succeeded. Mostly. But Tara seemed to do ok despite the movement.

Tara finished up with her polishing and placed down her tool, rincing Caseys mouth so the grittyness was gone, "close down for me kiddo" she said as she inserted the suction again, "that wasnt so bad was it?
