Overall history:
Vera's early childhood and school days were that of a typical child happy and carefree, marked by the periodic outburst of rage from her temperamental mother. The only relief she had was knowing that her mother was very busy with work and wasn't around the house more often then not. She was raised by a nanny, Dianne Witte, who became the only sort of parenting figure Vera ever known. Despite the evidence to the otherwise, Dianne actually did tame the young girl to an extent. Instilling in her more morals or rules than she would have learned on her own.

It was not long into the last few years of her education, that Vera had the misfortune of running out of the range of her mother's latest outburst into the dark world of a full moon. When she awoke the next morning Vera had no recollection of the evening that had passed at all, and the only hint at what might have passed a deep gash, the edges matted and mangled across her left shoulder blade. Use to wounds she did not wish to talk about, Vera simply hid it. She did not notice how quickly it healed on its own, and avoided glancing at the scar. It wasn't until the full moon that she even she figured out what had taken pass. It was only by pure luck that she did not harm anyone in that first change.

Searching for understanding in her knew life, Vera found herself at the Pack, who set her up a "Mentor" of sorts. A young man around her own age named Brock Cox, who appeared to have the misfortune of recovering from some sort of heart break. She could never say if it was just gratitude to no longer be alone or something more that gave her first paying attention to the man, but Vera shortly found herself greatly attached to the man, and through that man she couldn't stand what he was doing to himself, and set out on a mission of tough love to snap his ass back into action.

When she was about twenty years old, Vera ran into a charmingly handsome man, name Noel Mathews. He claimed to have gone to Hogwarts two years a head of her, and remembered her from the time. Flattered by the attention, and his charming way of speaking it wasn't long before Vera was completely smitten.

Although their relationship progressed slow at first, Noel was a complete gentleman through the whole courtship, and it wasn't hard for Vera, her youth helping her, to confuse the appreciation she felt for the attention, for actual affection and love for the man. When she was twenty three, they ran away together, eloped without telling anyone. The excitement of it only highlighted the whole affair. It wasn't until after they were married, and living together, that the hitting started. It seemed behind that charming demeanour Noel had been hiding a deep rooted rage, that he felt the need to take out on his wife.

Although after her Mother's periodic out bursts had sworn herself that she wouldn't let herself get trapped in such a thing again. But things were different with Noel. Vera was trapped by those three magical words "I love you". No matter how many times he hit her, he could erase it all with that simple phrase. No one else seemed to say it, and she was too scared this was all she could get to leave.

But, that was when things were just her; things changed completely the morning she realized she was pregnant. Maybe she could take hits for the only love she had, but what if Noel wouldn't leave the baby alone. The reality sunk in; she had to leave. And she tried, and almost made it too, before Noel found her, he claimed he couldn't let her leave. Vera felt it was only due to her extra-natural strength given to her by her wolf side that helped her survive the savage beating his rage had given.

Although that had been the last straw for her, she never went back to Noel, she lost the baby. In all the things that happened, that was the one she had an impossible time to deal with.

Eventually she settled back into her old life, the fondness she had formally harboured to Brock grew into something more. However he never noticed. Finally after what felt like years of being nothing more than the girl that wasn't his love, Vera volunteered to go be Alpha to a group of young renegades across the Ocean, needing space from what she wanted but knew she was never getting.

That didn't stop her from running back as soon as she was asked to.
