Sweet things (Barz/Diane)

Charlotte smiled and taking out her quill and parchment wrote down what she wanted to say.

'Life is better then I thought it would be.
people don't care about my problem and are friendly.
they don't avoid me.
but i can't allow my thoughts to wonder to my past anymore,
not till i learn Occulmency. nor can i look professors in the eye.
will it always be like this?'

Barzini read through the parchment carefully, as his brain tried to come up with a suitable reply.

Instead of speaking, he picked up Charlotte's quill, and on the parchment, he started writing slowly, in his distinct cursive and elegant writing.

"Occulumency can only help you this far. Your mind can only fortify that far. Memories of the past will always come to haunt you. Be it dreams, or idle thoughts. You can only NOT think of the past if you move on with life. I know not your problems, I know not of your sufferings. But what I know is that we are friends. You can always share problems with those you place your faith in. Professors, true, we cannot look into the eye for many of them. But there are exceptions. Such as Professor Gene, who will gladly sit for six hours to listen to you. IT is all a matter of faith and moving on."

Barzini placed the quill down and pushed the parchment towards her.

Charlotte read the parchment through. looked to Barz and Di, then read it through twice more before moving over and swinging her arms around each of them in tight friendly hugs. with her quill she quickly wrote a reply.

'I've never had a friend before and now i have two.
Thank you. you guys can call me Lottie if you'd like?'

As Barzini read through the parchment, he smiled as he was hugged.

"Your welcome, Lottie. Now where ish me food." Barzini said, upset.

Just then, the plates arrived and settled onto their table.

"Oh let's tuck in." Barzini said cheerfully.

Happily starts to eat her meal while sipping on her shake. Smiles and looks Di.
