Talking over a Crepe

Kassidy walked into the crepe shop. She was just excited when she was thinking about it. Kass wanted to give Collin some time to himself. And she knew that he could have used it. It seemed that he was always around Kass. And that really wasn't a bad thing, she just didn't want him to get sick of her. Because she knew that he was going to be living with them.

She then walked in and sat down and ordered her usual strawberry crepe. This was going to be something that she would enjoy. But she couldn't help but look around and notice that it was really busy. But she knew that she didn't have friends so it didn't matter. She then sighed as she was eating.

Mel had slipped out of the castle to get new tap shoes for dancing and now walked into the Crêpes Belles, ready for something to eat. She ordered a few blueberry crepes and turned around to search for a seat. The young girl was dismayed to see that all the tables were full. She had really hoped to avoid attention, since she wasn't supposed to be here, but that idea was out now. She shrugged, and, seeing an older girl sitting alone, walked over to her.

"Can I sit here?" Mel asked politely. "All the other tables are full."

Kassidy was going to enjoy day by herself. And also eating a Crepes. That was something that she loved to do. And it was her favorite kind. Part of her wished that she would have asked Collin to come with her. But she remembered that they needed there space. And today seemed like a busy day for this place. She then noticed that a person who was younger walked over to her.

“ Yeah sure you can sit here. I don't mind at all.”

Mel smiled, sitting down. "Thanks." She took a bit of crepe, grinning as it was delicious. She swallowed and wiped her mouth. "I'm Amélie by the way, Amélie Blanchard. Second year Angeliqué. What's your name?" She took another bite. Wow. These things really were amazing.

Kassidy then smiled. “ Your welcome.” That is when she started to eat her crepe and that is when she remembered that why she came here. “ I'm Kassidy Dupre or you can call me Kass. I am sixth year Vallee', also the prefect.” She couldn't help but watch how Ame'lie was reacting.

Mel smiled. "Nice to meet you Kassidy. I wonder if you know my brother, Alec Blanchard? He's a year younger than you, Prideaux. Blonde hair, tall, thinks he's cool?" she joked. She smiled at the older girl. "So, Kass, what do you like to do? Got any hobbies or anything? I'm a dancer myself, I love it to death."

Kass smiled. “ Nice to meet you to, can I call you Mel it would be so much easier for me to remember.” She then started to think. “ Yeah I think that I know who he is. I mean I don't talk to him or anything. But I do remember meeting him last year in the carriage.” She know was asked what she liked to do. “ I sometimes go down to the stables and ride. Or I just hang out with my boyfriend, Collin.”

Mel smiled. "Yeah, most people do call me Mel, except sometimes Sebastian calls me Amé. But anyway, yes you can call me Mel." She nodded. "Yeah, I think a lot of people know who he is. Do you find him funny or annoying?" she asked, grinning. She smiled. "I liked Riding classes last year. Horses are beautiful creatures, aren't they? And the name Colin... I think I recognize it. Isn't his last name a bird? Hawk, or Crow, or something? Oh, Raven! It's Colin Raven, right?"

Kass smiled. “ That is good because I am very bad with names. Who is Sebastian? I don't think I have meet him. Must be in a different year.” She smiled a little bit. “ He seemed nice I know at that time people was annoying me. And that was really the only time I seen him. So I really don't know him.”Kass grinned. “ Yeah I don't have the class but I go down and ride. But they are beautiful creatures.” Kass then was looking at Mel as she was thinking if she recognize Collin. “ Yeah that would be my boyfriend. Collin Raven.”

Mel laughed. "It's ok, I'm not so hot with them either. And Sebasitian... I think he's a sixth year actually, but a Prideuax. He's a Metamorphagus, so you might not recognize him from day to day. He changes a lot." She smiled. "Well at least he wasn't being a prat. He is sometimes. Even though he says he's not." Mel sighed happily. "Yeah. Sometimes it's hard to believe the Muggles gave them up for cars and things. Hard and metal instead of beuatiful and alive. Oh well, I guess they're faster." Mel nodded. "I think I've seen him in the hallways." Her eyes sparkled. "He's cute, you've got yourself a good one. Doesn't he have a twin?"

Kassidy smiled. “ Yeah well he seems like a cool person to hang out with.” Mel then was talking about Sebasitian. “ Don't think that I know him. The only Prideuax guy I can think of is Julian and I can't remember his last name.” Kass was listening to everything that Mel was saying. “ But they had to move forward. And they still use them for horse shows and horseback ridding.” Mel then started to talk about how cute Collin was but when she asked if he had a twin that is when she went dead silent. “ He did and his name was Casey.”

Mel smiled. "Well trying living with him and see how fun it is. Actually, he's pretty cool most of the time." She nodded. "Yeah, I know Julian. Everyone knows Julian. His last name is Rousseau, in case you were wondering." She shrugged. "I suppose. It's just rather disappointing that horses aren't as important as they used to be. And that is true, they do still do some things with them." Mel looked at Kass' face and the use of the words 'did' and 'was' and got quiet too. "Oh," she said in a quiet voice. "I'm sorry."

Kass laughed a little bit. “ That is alright, Collin is now living with my mother and I. And I don't know how this is going to turn out.” She then rolled her eyes a little bit. “ Yeah everybody knows Julian, playboy of the school.” Kass thought about it for a couple of seconds. “ I know in USA they use horses to work in the grand canyon. I hear that it is awesome place to go.” She then watched as Mel's face changed. And it was because she said about Casey. “ It really isn't your fault. If anything I think it is Julian.”

Mel laughed. "That ought to be interesting, having your boyfriend and your mother living in the same house with you. Guess you can't do anything too lovey dovey now." She snorted. "Julian makes sure that everyone knows him. That's just how he is." She raised her eyebrows. "Really? I didn't know that. That's really cool." She shrugged. "I know it's not my fault, but I'm still sorry. And really? Julian did it? He didn't really seem that type when I talked to him. If anything, he was a little pathetic..."

Kass smiled. “ Yeah for the most part it is interesting. My mom loves it cause it isn't just me and her. There is Collin so house isn't empty. And well I mean she let's him sleep in my bed with me. Tries anything then it is the guest room for him.” She then started to laugh. “ Yeah Julian thinks that everybody should know about him.” Kass was smiling. “ I actually want to go to the Grand Canyon one day and see it for myself.” Mel then was still saying sorry about Casey's death. “ I am not really sure if Julian was the whole case. Collin doesn't talk about it much.” She really didn't want to talk about Julian anymore.

Mel smiled. "That's cool. Your mom sounds really nice." She laughed at the next comment. "Well he'd better not try anything now," she said, with her eyes sparkling. Mel rolled her eyes. "Yep, sounds like Julian to me." She smiled. "That would be really cool. I want to go see Ireland someday, I heard it's really pretty. But my family's never gone there." The young girl was quiet. "Ok. It's ok if you don't want to talk about it."

Kassidy then smiled. “ Yeah my mom is really awesome. And I know that Collin isn't going to try anything. Cause he knows he would be sleeping in the floor.” She then watched Mel roll her eyes as they was talking about Julian. “ Yeah I am tired of how he acts.” Kass then listened how Mel wanted to go to Ireland some day. “ Wow that would be awesome right there. I see pictures and it looks beautiful.” She then was quiet and was told she didn't have to talk about it if she didn't want you. “ There was a time that I really didn't know which twin I liked. So it is really hard for me to talk about Casey.”

Mel laughed. "He'd be in the doghouse in an instant?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with fun. She already knew the answer of course; she was just teasing. She nodded. "It is a little wearying, yes." Mel smiled. "That's why I want to go. The pictures always look so beautiful with the mist around the green mountains... I'm sure if I got a horse and rode it around there, I'd feel like part of an ancient world." She nodded. "That must have been really hard. I can't even imagine..." She trailed off, trying. It was impossible for her, but then she was only 12.

Kass then started to laugh. “ Yeah I can see Collin in the doghouse. He only has to wait another year and then we will be both adults.” She then listened as Mel was talking about visiting Ireland. “ Sounds like you should have a good time. And the food I heard was good too. But just to go riding around in Ireland has to be the great part.” Mel then was tell that it must be hard for her. “ It has been rough and then Collin came and stayed with me. I know Casey would have wanted me to date Collin.”

Mel laughed. "I would do it too if I were you. But what will you do when you're both adults?" she asked suggestively, wiggling her eyebrows. Mel nodded. "I will if I ever get there... I bet Alec would take me, if he wasn't too busy. I'll be sure to try all the food for you," she added, grinning. Mel smiled softly. "Well at least you have Colin. I'm glad you're confident about it."

Kass then started to laugh. “ But you don't have to worry about this since you are still a young kid. And you don't need to know what Collin and I would do.” She smiled a little bit. “ Well I hope that you get to go on day. I know that is a place that I am planning on visiting something.” She was still smiling. “Yes I still have Collin, which is really good. And Casey would have wanted me to be happy.”

Mel smiled. "Yeah, I know. But I will have to think about it. Eventually. Hopefully." She hadn't really met any boys her age except for Laurent and he was gay, so it's not like that would have gone anywhere. She shrugged, she didn't have to think about that for years. She nodded. "Yeah, I hope so too. It would be amazing. I hope you get to go to the Gand Canyon someday." Mel's smile grew a little in return. "Well I'm glad that you can be happy and I'm glad you know Casey would have wanted it that way."

Kass then started to laugh. “ Enjoy being young will you can. Someday you will find a guy.” She remembered what is was like before she found Collin and Casey. Kass knew that Mel would find the right guy when she gets a little bit older. They when talking about how Kass wanted to go to the Grand Canyon. “ I think after I graduate I will go there.” Mel then was talking about how she was glad that she was happy and Casey would have wanted her happy. “ Life goes on and he would have wanted me to date Collin.”

Mel smiled. "I plan on it. Getting mature is so overrated." She knew someone was out there for her and she'd find him someday. She didn't need to look for a few years though. Mel nodded. "That sounds good. Who's going with you? Collin or your mom or are you just going alone?" She thought that sounded good, but she also sensed that Kass didn't really want to talk about it much longer. "What's your favorite color?" she asked randomly.

Kass smiled. “ Being mature isn't overrated. People look to see if you are mature and judge you by that.” Kass was glad that she found Collin. And she was never going to let him go. She then was being asked who she would bring on the trip. “ Not sure if I just want it to be Collin and I or if I will ask my mom to come with us.” Kass was glad that she stopped talking about Casey. It was too much for her. But she was asked her favorite color. “ Pink I guess. What is yours?”
