A Marriage

Gene felt his nose turn sour and he smiled. He was finally going to settle down with a woman of his dreams...

Gene looked at the gown and smiled, she had good taste indeed.

Gene's smile widened each step the bride took. Today was going to be a perfect day. Nothing would ruin it.

Kathy was a bit lost as she was going to Gene's and Aimee's wedding.
"Gosh..i hope this is IT." by It she meant the place written on her invitation letter.
As Aimee walk towards Gene with her amazing gown Kathryn knew she was late for the wedding so, she stepped in quietly with a smile drawn to her face saying "oh! Aimee look so magnificent!"

Hannah rushed in and took her seat unobtrusively so she didn't cause a disturbance, a student of hers, Maria, just behind her.

Maria snuck in behind her professor in the same fashion before throwing herself into a seat next to some boy she recognized from Ravenclaw- and had admittedly liked him for a while. He was nice, and hopefully she wouldn't have just embarrassed herself in front of him.

Achilles positioned himself at the top of the church ready for the ceremony to start. He gave Gene a warm smiled and picked up his bible ready as the music kicked in. Once Amy had joined them he began.
"Dearly Beloved, we are gathered together here in the sign of God – and in the face of this company – to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony, which is commended to be honorable among all men; and therefore – is not by any – to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly – but reverently, discreetly, advisedly and solemnly. Into this holy estate these two persons present now come to be joined. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together – let them speak now or forever hold their peace..." He paused for a minute his eyes scanning the church.

"Marriage is the union of husband and wife in heart, body and mind. It is intended for their mutual joy – and for the help and comfort given on another in prosperity and adversity. But more importantly – it is a means through which a stable and loving environment may be attained.

Through marriage, Gene and Amy make a commitment together to face their disappointments – embrace their dreams – realize their hopes – and accept each other’s failures. Gene and Amy will promise one another to aspire to these ideals throughout their lives together – through mutual understanding – openness – and sensitivity to each other.

We are here today – before God – because marriage is one of His most sacred wishes – to witness the joining in marriage of Gene and Amy. This occasion marks the celebration of love and commitment with which this man and this woman begin their life together. And now – through me – He joins you together in one of the holiest bonds.

Who gives this woman in marriage to this man?" He asked turning to look behind Amy.

Aimee smiled as the service started, she kept looking up at Gene, nervous but mostly excited to be able to call him her husband in just a few moments, biting her lip she listened carefully to what Achilles was saying to them and when it was time for the giving away of the Bride she heard a strangled cry from her father and he raised his hand.

"I do..."

He whispered taking Aimee's hand in his own before handing her over to Gene, her hand now in his own, the look of 'Youd better take care of her' plastered all over his face.
