A marriage to resonate throughout history (Invite only)

Richard held onto his own portkey tightly as he was dropped into the warded area before the church, which was also warded to avoid being spotted by any muggles. Dropping the now useless piece of paper into the bin provided he looked up at the towering display of Venetian design. The curves of the roof and the statues reaching up towards the heavens, making him feel small as he stood in it's shadow.

The day was warm, the sun beating down on him even as he stood in the cooler shadow of the church before him. His military uniform, a thick black affair with many silver buttons, felt heavy in the heat of the day but he couldn't bring himself to transfigure it into a more traditional set of dress robes. After all, it was a Romain family tradition to be married in your military uniform and he was not going to be the first to ignore the tradition.

Reaching up to his neck he fiddled with his collar as he walked out of the warded arrival zone, feeling himself exiting the magic-enclosed area with a small shiver. With a pace as brisk and strong as any march, he made his way up across the empty square towards the church itself. Once again he felt a shiver run through him as he passed the wardline for the church. Shaking it off he walked through the open door and into the church itself.

The rows of pews had remained but white banners and floral arrangements now decorated the house of God. With a small smile he walked down the aisle, nodding at some of the assembled guests and waving at others. Reaching the alter he placed his hand on the cold stone and closed his eyes as he smiled happily.

This was where he was going to be married.

This was the spot where he would marry the love of his life.

He opened his eyes and smiled up at his vicar, Achilles Silver,

"I really appreciate this Achilles." he told the man with a wide smile, "This is going to be the best day of my life. I can feel it. Nothing will surpass this moment."

Achilles smiled he loved weddings. He scanned the church making sure everything was in the right place just as the doors opened. He flattened down his robes and made his way over.

"It is my honour i couldn't think of anyone that deserves this more than you two. So enjoy the day because it will be one to remember." He smiled moving to shake his hand.

"I hope everything is just as you planned it to look."

Arsen took hold of the letter and seconds later appeared outside the church, just managing to land on his feet. "Woah." He smirked looking up at the church.

"Lupo? You here yet?" He asked moving in to the church and spotting him next to Achilles. "Oh hi minister." He smiled moving to hug Rich. "Nice uniform." He smiled pulling down the neck of his shirt. "I feel strangulated." He frowned.

Richard's smile grew larger and he shook Achilles' hand,

"Thank you Achilles." his smile dimmed as he grew more serious, "If you want anything from me, I will give it. I owe you big for this."

His smile grew back to full-force when Arsen wandered into the church,

"Hey Pup! Nice of you to join us!" he ruffled the boy's hair affectionately, "This is my military uniform Pup, family tradition. Comes without the annoying collar, unlike yours."

Cobalt, as uncomfortable as he was in his dress robes, smiled as he watched his friend enter the church, nodding his head in greeting and being greeted in kind. It never amazed Cobalt just how good a man Richard really was. He was well aware that it had been Cobalt that shot him and sent him to the werewolves but he'd done something much harder than seeking revenge.

He'd forgiven him for it.

And now, as he sat on a very uncomfortable pew with his collar digging into his neck, Cobalt was glad to be counted as one of Richard's closest friends.

Jamie had had quite a time trying to get into his seat, blinded as he was currently. It had taken quite a few bumps into the pews before someone had thought to help him find a place on the bride's side of the church, next to Willow. Although he couldn't see the wedding he could smell everything around him thanks to the ritual Cobalt had performed on him.

So even though he could see the flowers he could pinpoint exactly where they were in the room and he could even tell where every person was because of their scent. Of course this meant this was going to be like a radio broadcast of a wedding to him but he didn't mind. He was just happy to be here with Willow and at least one of his brothers.

Persephone hurried into the church, she had never been to a wedding before and she was kind of excited to see what it would be like, she was happy for the pair of them because they truly did look like the happiest couple when Rosie had spied them walking about the castle together.

Peeking around the door she saw she was one of the first people there and smiled at the other guest that she knew, of course she just had to be there practically alone with Cobalt.

Still smiling she nodded at Richard and sat down next to Cobalt with another nod biting her lip and wondering what the dress would be like for Briony.

Willow smiled as she saw Jamie enter the church, she had gotten there a little early as she normally did and she saved him a seat next to her, she was still a little shaken by his new limitation but she wouldn't let that get in the way of a truly beautiful day. Normally she was rubbish with weddings she always cried, but today she was going to try her best not to become an emotional wreck.

Smiling warmly at Jamie and holding his hand in her own Willow looked back up at the front of the Church, by the alter and sent an encouraging sort of smile Richard's way.

David entered the church with a smile. It was a lovely place to get married, and he was happy for his colleagues.
He took a seat on one of the pews and waited for the wedding to take place. It was quite exciting, really.

Sam had never travelled by portkey before and the ride had left him a little dizzy, but once he was over it he was going camera mad, taking pictures of literally everything. This place was beautiful, a perfect place for a wedding; Rich and Briony had good taste.

He wore his best suit and had groomed himself more than he had ever done before for the occassion. Wolfie had even been bathed and trimmed and wore a bow tie, but Sam tied him up outside the church so he wouldnt frighten the guests. He knew he'd behave himself.

He kept constantly checking his pockets for the rings and his gift, but thankfully they were there.
He entered the church and said a quick hello to some familair faces on the way up.
"Hey Jamie, hey Willow" He waved and spoke in a small voice.

He patted Rich on the back and shook his hand.
"Thanks for inviting me. This palce is amazing, you have excellent taste mein freund. You must be boiling in that rather impressive uniform of yours, but you look good man. "

He nodded his head and smiled at other people and took his place on Rich's side. He had his camera at the ready; he literally wanted to document every single moment of the wedidng. He was so happy for them both; they had defied all odds and now finally they could be united as one; no-one deserved it more.

Hades took hold of the letter and spoke his name clearly and seconds later he found himself out side the church. He quietly made his way in gave Arsen a weak smiled and moved to sit beside Jamie on the brides side.

"Hey Brother what have we been doing? Someone is not happy with you." He frowned. "We'll talk later okay?"

Anastasia dressed in a simple green top and long black skirt, after all it isn't appropriate to come to a wedding in muggle clothes or work robes. Her long brown hair fell in soft bouncing curls around her and she had a slight bit of make up on to match her eyes.

Smiling Anastasia grabbed an envelope containing her wedding gift inside and strapped her hand to her leg just above her knee.

Taking hold of her invitation, she found herself wishing she had been able to find a date. She took a deep breath as she felt the familiar pull at her navel and when she arrived to her destination she realized that she didn't really know many people in this county and she hoped she'd have met at least someone else who'd been invited before.

When she walked inside the church she noticed David and sat down beside him, a smile ever clear on her face.

Blaire clutched her invitation and spoke her name, feeling the tug at her naval followed by spinning. She barely stayed on her feet as she arrived at the wedding. She looked around a saw David and decided to join him.

"Hello, David," she greeted when she sat beside him. On his other side was a woman she had never seen before.

Aimee's heart was thudding in her chest as she cluched her portkey invite sending a smile to Briony before she was transported outside the venue for the wedding, he breath taken away just a tad by the magnificent church Aimee remembered what she had to do and clutched the flowers that distinguished her had Maid of Honour and walked into the church.

Right on cue all the talking died down, the congregation knowing the arrival of Aimee meant that the bride would be on her way, walking slowly up the aisle so that the bridesmaids could follow after when they arrived Aimee smiled nervously at Sam who stood at the end too.

Richard shook hands with Sam,

"I'm glad you could be here Sam." he smiled and rested his forehead against the other man's, "You were there for her when she needed you the most. I can never repay you for that."

As the talking ended abruptly he sprang away from Sam nervously, looking down the aisle to see the maid of honor making her way down. And if she was here...

His breath caught in his throat as he wait for the woman he loved.

Charlotte smiled and held Annie's hand as they were getting ready to be portkeyed to the church, she was nervous that much was obvious she didn't want to mess up for Briony but she could tell that the younger girl was a lot more nervous than she. Smiling as they were tugged away to the venue Charlotte released Annies hand, standing still for a minute outside.

Very artistic, she thought.

As they both walked into the church Annie grinned when she saw her Daddy at the end of the alter he looked very handsome in his Military outfit and knowing how nervous he was Annie smiled warmly at him as they both drew up closer to Aimee as she walked in front of them.

Sam didnt know Aimee knew Briony too. He was excited by her arrival and clicked away with his camera, buzzing like a kid knowing Briony would arrive soon; he couldnt wait to see her.

He smiled and winked at Aimee as she took he rplace up by the alter on Briony's side
"You look nice" He mouthed.

"No worries man, i'd do anything for my friends.

Sam squoze Rich's shoulder before taking his place again.

"Any minute now eh? Good luck man." He smiled.

Pepper took hold of her letter and spoke her name clearly, causing the letter to take her to the church, she had Lieder by her side as she saw Wolfie alone outside the church and decided to tie Lieder next to him.

"Boys," she said with a serious tone in her voice, "behave! no funny business." She finished and walked into the huge church.

She didn't really know which side she would sit at so she chose the bride's side.

Briony took a deep breath, her heart had been beating so fast for so long now she didn't think it could last much longer without breaking out of her chest, biting her lip she looked at herself in the mirror of her bedroom where Aimee had spent the past hours making her look pretty with endless amounts of sleekease and a light base of make up, of course, her customary eyeliner making an appearence.

A clock chime signalled it was time to get her portkey, Finley placing a ghostly hand on her shoulder as she touched it they were both transported outside of the beautiful church. Gasping as she saw it, revelling in her surroundings for a moment Briony sniffed, she couldn't get emotional already.

Finley couldn't believe it, his little Briony was getting married, despite not being her actual father he may as well have been and it was breaking his heart to give her away, it broke his heart for her to ask him to give her away and as she stood there in the dazzling sunlight he thought she had never looked so happy...or so beautiful.

Briony smiled at Finley and took his outstreched arm as he lead her into the church, looking up to the alter her eyes fixed on Richard and she blushed as she walked towards him, her slow steps allowing her to cast glances at the many guests around.

Finally she stopped at the alter and looked up sheepishly into Richard's eyes, blushing even more. 'Hi' she mouthed with a small laugh.

From the second she stepped through the door, Finley floating beside her and her train flowing like water behind her, his breath stopped all together. The light was playing across the white surface of her dress, giving it a glowing appearance that reflected light up to highlight her face.

When she looked down the aisle at him he felt his knees shake a little and his mouth went dry. For the first time in his life he was totally speechless and it was all because this woman, this stunning vision of perfection in white, was going to be his wife. It was so perfect it bordered on the surreal.

This was better than a dream, he decided quickly.

He blushed heavily at her greeting, realised a little late that he'd been staring and hadn't breathed since she walked in. Taking a deep breath he smiled, wider and with more feeling than ever before, as he took her hand in his own to turn them towards Achilles,

"You look amazing Briony..." he smiled sideways at her, "This is the happiest moment of my life."

Achilles positioned himself at the top of the church ready for the ceremony to start. He gave Richard a warm smiled and picked up his bible ready as the music kicked in. Once Briony had joined them he began.

"Dearly Beloved, we are gathered together here in the sign of God – and in the face of this company – to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony, which is commended to be honorable among all men; and therefore – is not by any – to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly – but reverently, discreetly, advisedly and solemnly. Into this holy estate these two persons present now come to be joined. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together – let them speak now or forever hold their peace..." He paused for a minute his eyes scanning the church.

"Marriage is the union of husband and wife in heart, body and mind. It is intended for their mutual joy – and for the help and comfort given on another in prosperity and adversity. But more importantly – it is a means through which a stable and loving environment may be attained.

Through marriage, Richard and Briony make a commitment together to face their disappointments – embrace their dreams – realize their hopes – and accept each other’s failures. Richard and Briony will promise one another to aspire to these ideals throughout their lives together – through mutual understanding – openness – and sensitivity to each other.

We are here today – before God – because marriage is one of His most sacred wishes – to witness the joining in marriage of Richard and Briony. This occasion marks the celebration of love and commitment with which this man and this woman begin their life together. And now – through me – He joins you together in one of the holiest bonds.

Who gives this woman in marriage to this man?" He asked turning to look behind Briony.

Gene gasped as he saw the ceremony.

"I am late!" He quickly took a seat at the back, smiling at the procession taking place. He brought a good bottle of Champagne, don't want to waste it.

When the ceremony began Briony felt her heart beat quicken even more, it was happening, she was getting married to the man she loved, and he loved her right back. Biting her lip nervously she looked intently at Achilles as he spoke and Briony smiled when it was time to give her away. This was one of the parts she was most looking forward to.

Finley however was not looking forward to this part one bit, however much he liked the German he still didn't want to give his Briony away to him even though he knew nothing would change, she would still love him as much as she did before he gave her away. Briony just wouldn't be his little girl anymore.

"I do."

He spoke, his voice wavering. The ghostly arm that Briony had rested hers above moved to clasp her hand in his and looking deep into Briony's eyes he held her hand out of Richard, instead now looking into his with a mixture of 'You'd best take care of her' and of 'I know you two will be happy together'.

Sam was in awe at how stunningly beautiful Briony looked in her dress. Rich was such a lucky guy. All the time, he was capturing every moment with his more subtle lepel camera. He smiled at Bri and Rich with happy tears in his eyes.
He was so glad he'd healed enough to come to this wedding. Hell, the royal wedding had nothing on this one. They had stood against all odds to be here, and no-one deserved this more than they did. He hoped he could be married one day to share in the same happiness that resonated from Bri and Rich. They were so good together x

Richard gave Finley a small, reassuring, smile as he gently took Briony's hand in his own before turning to the ghost a little more,

"Thank you for trusting me with her happiness." he told the ghost respectfully, bowing slightly as he'd been taught as a good pure-blood. He turned back to Briony with a smile before nodding for Achilles to continue.
