Lesson One (Second years)

Asric walked into the classroom shutting all the windows and blacking them out with a flick of his wand. Once he had reached the professors desk his flicked his wand once more bringing to life a few of the candles so the students would have a little light to see as they made their way in. Now he just had to wait for them to arrive.

Laedin entered the classroom quickly and quietly. He was the first to have arrived, judging by only Professor Chaos being in there. He hummed to himself quietly, nodding to the front of the room before moving to the back and setting his bag down on the floor before taking his seat.

Alessa swiftly came inside and greeted her professor with a slight bow and a smile. She then scanned the whole room, finding only a Ravenclaw. She shrugged, seeing as they weren't as close as her other friends.

"Oh well," she muttered. Alessa took a seat a few chairs away from the other student.

"Good day Professor.." she walked inside the classroom and sat in the middle row. She's excited about this class, since she wants to learn a lot about Occlumency.

Iris entered the room and wondered if she was already considered in this class because she signed up a bit of late. She waved at Alessa, her friend who is with her again in the same class. She made a smile with a bow, "Good day Professor." it was the headmaster.

Alessa saw Iris come in and waved back. "Hey Iris!" she said with a smile, "Come sit with me."
She gestured towards the chair beside her as an invite, then started playing with her wand nonchalantly. It's something she does when she's bored.

Iris followed and sat beside Alessa. "Let's see, Occlumency, Transfiguration, DADA, Charms, Potions, what else?" She chuckled, "Are you in Astronomy and Divination?" and asked, frowning her brows.

"Hmm, let's see..." she said, tapping her chin with her pointer. "As far as I can remember, I didn't sign up for Divination. Not that's I think it's useless, you know, but since I'm juggling 12 classes, I think I should reduce."

"Oh. Well I signed up mostly on 'non-physical' stuff. Dealing only with books and spells." She nodded.

He cleared his throat getting the classes attention. "Right let's begin shall we?" He said flicking his wand so that the door closed leaving the room in dull candle lighting.

"Today we will be recaping what you have learnt from last year. Now everyone close your eyes and clear your mind. Release all thoughts from your mind and concentrate on your breathing. In... and out. In... and out." He said walking around looking at each student in turn to make sure they were doing as he asked.

Alessa cleared her throat, sat straight and closed her eyes gently. In and out... In and out... In and out...

It's been quite some time since I've relaxed like this...

Alexis skidded to a hault just as the door closed. Oh no, she moaned inwardly. Well, no other way for it, she knocked on the door. 'Professor? I apologize for being late. Please may I come in?'

Clarisse isn't having much of a breeze here. She can't stop constantly thinking about something.

But she has to do this for the sake of passing this class.

In...Out... Clear your mind, Clarisse...Just do it...Even for just 5 minutes...

Iris followed and closed her eyes. She breathed just like what Professor Chaos said.

Even though she was late, Iris felt a bit relieved when she saw another girl standing outside the class as well, about to enter.

"Sorry I'm late as well Professor," she apologized.

'Professor has already closed the door, we'll be lucky if he opened it again.' She whispered to the newly arrived girl.

Iris groaned softly. "Great, there goes my first best impression. I'm Iris, by the way. I just joined a week back so I still need to get to used to the place."

'Nice to meet you Iris, I'm Alexis. I too have joined anew this year. Let's see if we can attend our first class here...' she trailed off. It was really very embarrasing, I'll never be late again, please let me in, she begged mentally.

"Pleasure to meet you as well Alexis," Iris replied. She could see that Alexis was as nervous as her as to whether they would be able to attend their first Occlumency class.

"Should we try knocking? Hopefully, he might excuse us..."
