Lesson Three H&PE Y1

Asric apparated straight onto the grounds with minutes to spare on his lesson. He was in a very good mood today, maybe it had something to do with his date early this morning. He smiled to himself before turning into his wolf form and sitting down on the grass to wait for his students to arrive.

Damian made his way to Hunting class, grinning when he spotted the wolf. "Hi, sir!" he greeted cheerfully. The boy looked around, but didn't see any of his classmates, yet. "Looks like I'm early!"

Flora walked into the field, there's Damian, and- and a wolf. But it wasn't an ordinary wolf, and it wasn't attacking Damian. Can that be the Headmaster? Sure it can.
'Hello Headmaster.' she greeted politely.

Rebecca closed her eyes for a moment, and when she opened them she was grinning. "Be on your guard, Valerie, and expect the unexpected." Was her only warning to her sister as she made her way to where the class was gathering in bits and pieces.

She bowed to the wolf, but said nothing to the man-turned-animal. She wanted to see her sister's reaction.

Seth arrived and hurried over to Damian. "Hullo Professor," he said and turned to Damian and said "Hi," as well.

Valerie scrunched her eyebrows in confusion. "Expect the unexpected? Are you kidding me? You've been pretty vague about what you've Seen before, Becky, but you just topped yourself. Thanks." She said sarcastically.

They made it to the area, and her sister bowed. Val looked over to where her twin bowed, expecting the Headmaster, and froze. "B-becky, back up and stay calm." She ordered her sister.

Then she realized that the wolf wasn't attacking, and remembered Rebecca's earlier words, and frowned. The dots connected, and Val stared at the wolf in awe. "Wow, an animagus." She whispered.

"Now onto todays lesson. Todays lesson will be testing your stamina, i need to know how physically fit you are once we've taken away all the obstacles." He said rolling up his sleeves. "Now for the first task we will be doing what's known in the muggle world as a bleep test." He said glancing down at his watch so he knew when to start them off.

"Right everyone get into line, when i say go i want you all to run to the lake and stop and wait for me to say go again then you will run back here. Each time you do this the quicker you need to get to the other side and the less of a break you will get. If you fail to get to the other side before the time limit runs out you are out. Once you're out come and stand here, do NOT and i repeat do NOT sit down once you are out. It stops circulation and your body will need all the oxygen it can get." He said glancing at his watch to time them in.

"On your marks get set go!" He said keeping an eye on both the time and his students to make sure the timing was right.

(OOC Please don't make out that you have super human stamina because i will just drop you for showing off. Here are the laps categories: 10- 15 poor, very unfit, 16-25 okay, unfit, 26-32 good, but needs a bit of work, 33- 41 great, average 42-53 amazing, fit, 54+ extremely fit. Please make it as realistic as possible, if your characters not the fittest of characters then don't make them extremely fit and no one should be doing more than 60 laps.)

Damian lined up with his classmates, setting off when Asric told them to. It was bit fun and invigorating. He set his pace so it matched the others', not really concerned with finishing first - this was a stamina test, after all.

At the lake, the boy turned, shooting a grin at Seth, then waited for Asric to tell them to go again. So far, so good. Damian had done so much running in the years before coming to Hogwarts that a few laps really weren't much of an imposition to him. After a few laps, however...

The boy focused on his breathing, concentrating on maintaining a steady pace back and forth. Around what must've been his eighth or ninth lap, he began to wonder just how many they needed to run. Deciding it didn't matter, Damian continued to run.

Seth had learned to run from the kids at home but it certainly wasn't to this extent. He started to run and run back and forth back and forth. At about the 15th lap he started to feel the burn. Seth didn't mind though. It would help him eventually so he continued running

Flora started running at a sedate pace with everyone else. Kepping her breathing calm and controlled, however after twenty laps she began to breath unevenly. By thirty five she was gasping for breath. On forty three she stopped, gasping for breath.

He kept his eyes flicking between the students and his watch, making sure that all of them stayed in line and made it to the other side in time. "Well done guys, keep it up." He smiled, they were doing better than other people their age did. Maybe the war was having a good impact on their fitness, not that that was something to brag about. The war was causing more trouble than good.

Valerie knew her stamina was pretty good. One couldn't be a dancer with lackluster energy, after all. And before finding out she was a witch, she had been set on becoming the best dancer of them all.

She dashed off with the rest of them, her breathing even and slow, and kept pace. It wasn't a race, she didn't need to show off any sort of speed.

After 45 laps, she stopped. Simple as that. She was attuned enough to her body that she regarded any signals it gave off, and it was telling her that any more running would result in some debilitating cramps over the next few days.

She stood by the rest of the people who had found their limit and allowed her breathing to slow, and her racing heart to steady.

Damian had long lost count of how many laps he had run by the time he stopped. He bent over his knees for a moment to suck in a few slow, deep breaths, then took up pacing as he worked to bring his breathing and heart rate under control.

That was kinda fun... he mused happily, shooting Asric a smile and pausing to lightly kick the back of Seth's shoe as he passed him.

Rebecca easily followed her sister's example. Their bodies were similar, but Valerie was more aware of hers, just as Becky's mind was more attuned. She ran the same amount, and smiled serenely as she felt her heart pumping. It was a sign of life, what could be better than that?
