L4- 2nd year-Girding Potions

Shaun was in a good mood after the refreshing break, and hoped his students brain won't be overly jammed up with lessons, making them prone to blow up their cauldrons. He checked each of the workstations, his stock of ingredients, then took a seat in his desk. with a wave of his wrist, writing appeared on the board:

Girding Potion

Elizabeth walked sluggishly from the common room to the potion's classroom, she was lucky she had awoken in time. She looked down at herself, her skirt was just short of being called a mini skirt and her black stockings didn't have any white balls of fluff on them. Pulling her cloak tighter around herself, she pushed open the door and went into the classroom.

She squinted at the board, Girding Potions... what the? Finding an empty station and that she was the first one there, she sat with a sigh and pulled her Potions book out of her bag.

Iris walked in the dungeon with a light mood. She greeted the professor and took notice of his mood too. She settled on her usual table and waved at Darcy, "Hey Darcy! Feeling all right? Excited for the next DADA? Just kidding. I hope this time's safer. But the last, honestly, was quite exciting for me since we will deal with those kinds of runaround sooner. What do you reckon?" asked Iris while grabbing her Potions book in her bag, scowling as she stopped at the definition of Girding Potions, first time to brew it and actually encounter it. Sure enough, this is another surprise from her mom and dad.

Thomas walked into class and sighed with relief knowing he wasn't late. He sat down in a chair. "Good morning professor" Thomas said being polite.

Alexis walked into the class in high spirits. She waved at Eye and Darcy, and greeted the professor, "Morning sir"
"Hello Eye, Darcy, had a nice break?"

Iris walked into class hoping she wasn't too late. "Good day, Professor," she greeted him. "Hey Eye, Alexis, how were your hols?'' She asked them with a smile. She noticed there was a new student and went to introduce herself. "Hello, I'm Iris but you can call me Grayson, 'cause that's Iris as well," she chuckled lightly and pointed to Eye.

Lauri walked into Potions out of breath. She had overslept and was afraid she might have arrived late.

She sighed when she saw that the class was barely half full, "thank god," she muttered, looking around. "Good morning Professor," She said, smiling.

She walked over to Iris, "Hey, how was you holiday?" She asked.

Thomas looked up to see who was talking to him and he saw a girl with the Gryffindor colors. "Hello Iris or Grayson i'm Thomas Gilbert" Thomas said.

Crystal walked in and saw the board said Grinding Potions What in the world..? Ok she could do this.

"Morning Professor." She said walking in she had just made it. Close call though.

Iris greeted all of the students present and beamed at them, "Hey Alex and Grayson! I believe the Gryffindor Iris is the one you called?" she asked politely at the Ravenclaw she didn't know quite well and chuckled. "I'm also Iris by the way. Only Slytherin. Call me Eye. Oh hey Chrys! Love my break with mum and dad. Hello, Thomas."

"Nice to meet you Thomas," she grinned at him. "Hey Lauri, long time no see!" She said and hugged Laurasia. "Oh, my holidays were pretty fine, though a bit boring. How was yours?"

Alex smiled, "My hols were good. Got alnong with mum after a long time. I guess the didtance is good for us. Oh, hi Thomas, do you go by Tom?"

Thomas smiled "Hello i'm Thomas Gilbert nice to meet you and yes i go by Tom a lot" Thomas said looking at Alexis.

Anna walked into the classroom, sighing at yet another crowd. What was with people and friendship and talking? she thought. She decided to take a seat by the back and started humming a song she had heard in the Muggle world that was stuck in her head.

Lauri shook her head in disbelief, "I know, where has the time gone?" She grinned, hugging Iris back.

"My holidays were fine, spent a little too much time with my brothers, I think they might be plotting to turn me into one of them." She laughed.

She blushed, realizing she had forgotten her manners, "Oops sorry everyone! I'm Lauri by the way," She introduced herself, and smiled sheepishly.

Girding Potion? Alicia thought, raising her eyebrows as she entered the classroom. What on earth is that for?

Huffing, she quelled her curiosity and set about finding herself a seat. Her questions would be answered soon enough, she supposed as she set about unpacking her things, laying them out meticulously on her desk.

Potions Class. What would they blow up today? He entered and saw a few students. Tobi had become more quiet and withdrawn after his accident and was surprised no one had noticed but that was for the best. Taking a seat in the back and read the board and wondered what kind of potion it was.

"Alright class" Shaun stood up and looked at all his students, "Cease the chit chat now. Now how many of you are wondering what in the world Girding Potion is. Any idea? Anyone?"
Shaun expected them to try at least even if they are wrong.

Iris shot her hand and recited, "Girding Potion gives its consumer extra endurance, sir."

"Well done Ms. Frances." Shaun nodded, "Ten points to Slytherin. Now let's start our routine. State one ingredient and its use, each of you, go on."

"Dragonfly thorax," Anna replied. "It is used to make sure that the Potion drinker does not have too much endurance to go on indefinitely."

Thomas raised his hand and started to speak "The other ingredient is fairy wings" said Thomas. Thomas didn't no if he was right but the professor will say if it is or not.

Caleb walked into potions class. "Sorry professor got lost" said Caleb taking a seat near the door. He got out what he needed for the class.

"Brilliant Ms. Tshering, ten points to Ravenclaw And Five to Slytherin Mr. Gilbert, thank you. What's the function of Fairy Wings? Anyone?" Shaun waved his hand and wrote on the board
