H&PE Lesson 1 (2nd and 3rd years)

Asric apparated right to his second lesson of the day, rather than walk which was expected of him. He'd had a busy morning at the ministry thanks to the last Maius leader, so he hadn't had time to walk or even run that morning. He glanced at his watch before clasping his hands behind his back waiting for the students to arrive.

For once in her life, Iva arrived on time. She strolled in, her hair in a tight braid and her normal sneakers replaced with large, black boots.

She walked slowly into the grounds and saw no one was there except the Headmaster.

"Good day, Headmaster," She said, less than cheerily.

Flora walked at a brisk pace. The beautiful weather doing nothing to her bleak mood. She walked into the ground and greeted the headmaster a perfectly polite 'Hello' and waited for the others to arrive.
She noticed a girl who looked older than her. Is it a combined class? She wondered.

Alexis arrived in the field with high spirits. She's looking forward to this class. 'Hello Headmaster' she greeted enthusiastically.

Damian made his way out to Hunting and Physical Education class. Seth was sick back in the dorm. Lucky prat. At least he had a reason to miss classes.

The boy finally made it to his destination. It looked like he might have been the last one to arrive. Crap. He was man's apprentice, too. Double crap. And yet, at the same time, Damian wasn't wholly convinced that he cared.

"I apologize if I am late, sir," Damian mumble. "I misplaced my wristwatch." In fact, it was in the bottom of his trunk with nearly everything else his sister had ever gotten for him.

Iva looked at the second years and felt a jab of panic. Was this the wrong time? Making sure to not to show her worry, she pulled her schedule out of her pocket.

Nope, this is right. Combined class? How odd.

It was even odder when Damian showed up. Iva looked at her feet, unsure of whether to ignore him and acknowledge him. His fat lip had gone down since then, but, as he predicted, a small scar had formed.

Iva decided to nodded towards the Hufflepuff, biting her lip to hide that scar and stop herself from making a smart comment about being late.

He clapped his hands and looked at his watch. "Right lets begin shall we?" He said looking over towards the castle to make sure no one else was on their way over. "Now your probably wondering why this group ins combined, its simple because there arent enough of you to have separate classes but that just means you guys get to learn twice as much as the others would." He explained.

"Anyway enough of that, this year you will be learning about weaponry." He said waving his wand so a few boxes landed at his feet. "Now who can tell me what this is called and what it is used for?" He said pulling out a weapons for them to see.

"They're call crossbows, sir," Damian replied. "The long, thin ones are arrows. They're used for long-range hunting. They're less useful short-range, unless you wanna clobber people with them. Or stab them."

"Actually," Iva spoke up, hands on her hips, "It is a longbow,"

"A longbow is a length of wood with the ends connected by a drawstring, but a crossbow is rifle shaped thing that's horizontal. It usually metal as well," She looked at Damian and smirked, "Other than that, I think you are right,"

(OOC: Meh. I knew that. That's what I get for responding to threads when my brain's already offline... Dame's off his game. He'd know better, too...)


Damian merely shrugged. Right. Longbow. Crossbow. It's a bow. He should have felt bad about making such a blatant error when he was the professor's apprentice, but he couldn't really muster up any embarrassment. Master Chaos knew he knew the difference between longbows and crossbows, even if he did just make himself look like an idiot.

The boy scratched at an itch on his shoulder and waited for Asric to continue.

Henri walked towards Hunting and Physical education. She had been late to this class and was disappointed with herself due to the fact that it was her first one. She saw the Professor with a long bow and smirked slightly. Anything involving archery and fencing she was good at.

"Sorry I'm late Headmaster," she said. She heard the Slytherin girl reply about the bow and was impressed she knew about it. The Gryffindor could almost clap at her knowledge about it.
