A night to remember (Ric/ Soph)

Sophia smiled softly at him. "That would be because, like so many others, you had mistaken Fate for a controllin' force. It isnae at all. Fate is guide, a good one, if ye let it.

"You forget who you're speakin' tae, love," she reminded him, reaching up a hand to fondly caress his cheek. "Tae me, it doesnae sound weird at all. It's romantic. I was shaken and scared that night - and there ye were, right when I needed someone."

He smiled and took her hand to kiss. "I know that now, for it led me straight to you. Only fate could have woken me up that night. Hell i'd taken enough sleeping potion to knock out a horse." He laughed. "We were destined to be together, its written in the stars." He said looking up at the stars above them


He smiled and cupped her hand in his. "I will always be there when you need me. From now and until forever. Nothing can tear up apart now. I won't let it." He said taking her hand from his face and placing it on his chest so she could feel his heart beat. "This heart now beats for you and for you alone. Without you, there would be no need for it."

Sophia smiled up at him, feeling the beat of his heart against her palm. "As long as you keep me there, love, ye need never be without me." She raised up on her toes to press a kiss to his lips. "Not ever. Your heart is a beautiful place, Ric; I shall live in it, forever."

He smiled before it fell from his face. Something wasn't right. He tilted his head to the side and muttered one simple word. "unum." Instantly his eyes glazed over and became the grey of his wolf, Ghost. A minute later he shook his head and returned his gaze to Sopha.

"I'm sorry love, i have an urgent matter to deal with. Can we take a rain check on lunch?" He asked, he didn't want to leave like this but i seemed he had no choice.
