    Lesson 2 - 1st Years Empty Lesson 2 - 1st Years

Post by Sapphire Tyler Mon Jan 09, 2012 9:07 pm

Sapphire was sat at her desk with her feet on the table. She had just finished writing a letter to her sister and was now waiting for the children to arrive. She had placed a single match on each desk, starting them off with a simple practical.

Humming quietly to herself, Savannah walked towards the Transfiguration classroom, books in hand and her wand stowed away in one of the pockets of her robe. Peaking into the room, she sighed softly when she noticed that she wasn't late. However, she was also the first. Oh well. Shrugging, she sat down at the first desk she reached, smiling at the professor. "Hello Professor Tyler."

Kirsten walked into the classroom, typically lost in her thoughts, a smile playing on her lips. She glanced up - snapping back to reality - and grinned at her endearingly casual proffessor. "Hi," she said cheerily, nodding to Proffessor Tyler and deliberately ignoring that Savannah character. Ugh.

Sitting in the front row, she curiously examined the match before her, placing her textbooks on the ground and her wand neatly on her desk, and waited eagerly for the lesson to begin.

Bridget walked into class to see only 2 students there along with professor Tyler. Bridget saw Kristen and walked over to her and took a seat. "Hey" she smiled at her. "Hello professor Tyler, Savannah" Bridget greeted. Bridget placed her book on her desk and put her wand on her book.

Valerie walked into Transfiguration. Valerie took an empty seat. "Hello professor Tyler and everyone else" Valerie greeted with a small smile. Valerie got out what she would need for the class.

Cecile looked around the room. She recognized a couple girls from her other classes, but she didn't really know them. She supposed that was the price of being an introvert. There was a match on her desk, and she had no idea what it was for.

Kirsten beamed at Bridget, happy to have a companion for her class, "Hey Bridget," she said, "how's things?"

Looking over at Bridget, she nodded in her direction. She didn't feel like talking to her - but then again, she rarely ever did - and though she'd never spoken to her before, she was friends with Kirsten, and that docked marks in her book.

Alyssa walked into the classroom in a good mood, seeing the matches only improved her mood. Her dad told her about this practical, and he said she was a natural transfigure. Setting her books on an empty table, she sat down while pulling her wand out of her sleeve. She looked at the match and in her mind watched it change into a needle, feeling it to comply, willing it to do as she wanted. She closed her eyes and concetrated, with her wand pointed at the match in her hand. She felt it turn cold and hard, and when she opened her eyes, a perfect sewing needle was nestled in her palm. She smiled proudly to herself, but didnt notice the person watching her intently.

People were taking awhile to file in, so Cecile took out her puzzle. She played around with it for a few minutes until a girl who she thought was also a hufflepuff sat near her. Looking over, she saw the girl pick up the match, and flawlessly turn it into a needle. Cecile felt her eyes go wide. She had tried transfiguration many times, but for some reason whatever she had always ended up melting. She was lucky she never tried to transfigure living things.

"How-" she began to ask the girl, but she couldn't think of what else to say.

Hearing the cut off exclaim, Alyssa turned around.
"Oh, Hi!" she said nervously, "Um, your hufflepuff too? cool! uh, do you wanna sit with me?" Alyssa had never been good at meeting people, she wished she had her friends ability to just make friends instantly. She looked up and the beautiful brown haired girl and hoped to meet a new friend.

Vincent walked into the room walking straight to the professor he said "Sorry, for missing your first lesson," he lowered his head moved to an empty desk, he placed all his books next to him and his wand appeared from out of his sleeve placing it gently on the desk, he hoped he wouldn't make a fool of himself

Bridget smiled at Savannah and then turned back to Kristen. "I'm doing good, never saw my sister yet which is weird" Bridget shrugged. "What about you" Bridget asked Kristen.

"Oh I'm great," Kirsten replied chirpily to Bridget. "Bit snowed under with class work and stuff. Sometimes it just piles up, y'know?" she said, absently twirling a strand of her loose blonde hair through her fingers. She smiled at Bridget. "You have a sister?" she inquired, "It is weird you haven't seen her. Gosh, I hope she's ok ..."

When she heard Vincent's familiar voice a fierce blush overtook her cheeks and jumped, not expecting that he would be in this class. She watched his movements through her peripherals and saw him sit down. She wanted to invite him over, but she didn't want to be rude to Bridget, so she settled with smiling shyly at him, then turning her full attention back to Bridget.

Vincent really sucked at Transfiguration, he saw Kirsten and knew deep down he couldn't go near her or he wouldn't concentrate... He watched as a girl changed her needle, and feeling awkward, with Kirsten's eyes and presence he fiddled with his wand in one hand and the needle in the other

Concentrate, concentrate he focused completely on the teacher, realising that the whole time had already passed, he sighed... It felt like the shortest class so far, he put the needle down, and in a perfectly timed flick he returned his wand to the top of his sleeve. Waiting for the teacher to release them, he glimpsed at Kirsten and smiled before returning to the teacher
