Lesson Two - Third Years. Empty Lesson Two - Third Years.

Post by Andria Fallen Tue Jan 10, 2012 10:27 am

Andria stood in front of her desk, waiting for the next batch of her students to arrive all coolly and patiently. Like what she always did. She would always look forward to what her third years will do with today's lesson. Of what their progress might be after the holidays. She entirely missed them and the warm-friendly company they usually did.

And to add up with that anticipation of hers, and hopefully also for her students, she had made some arrangements of lessons that can be described as utterly adventurous and full of mysterious quests. If today's lesson is considered as like that at all.

Anna walked into the lesson, glad to be the first one there. She grinned at the Professor, because she was the only one she genuinely liked. "Professor Fallen!" she smiled breathlessly, coming to hug the Professor. "I missed you." She then abruptly let go of the woman, blushing and mentally cursing at her lack of self control. "Uhh... you didn't mind that, didn't you?" she asked.

Iris walked into the classroom, feeling excited for the lesson. Duelling was her next favourite thing after flying, and she always looked forward to the lessons. "Good morning, Professor. How were your holidays?" She asked with a grin and smiled when she saw Anna. "Hey Anna!" She greeted and took a seat.

Hades walked into one of his favorite classes, the other one was potions. "Hello professor" Hades greeted. Hades walked up behind Iris and kissed her cheek and took a seat at the table behind her. "Hello Iris and Anna".

Andria chuckled at the sight of Anna falling in to her arms. She need not to answer. Of course she missed her. All of them. And there's nothing like it when seeing the motivated third years in front of her. Obviously having a wonderful holiday way back.

"No. I don't mind that at all. And I missed you all. Perfect holidays. End of story." The lady addressed to the class and laughed softly. remembering what she was up to with the lesson. Sure enough, for what she recalled, these students were the only ones taking up the subject. And they had to move on with the lesson.

"All right. Great holidays and finally meeting your friends after the long break, can I now entrust you with the lesson today? I do hope this is something to look forward to and do your best again. But it's rather complex. Still, I believe in your abilities and as expected, everything will turn out great. Perhaps?"

Andria began with the introduction as she walked slowly at the front. Giving the signal that it's now time to listen up and pay attention to the instructions. Indeed, this lesson would be the most challenging of all. And she can't wait what would the outcome be.

Drawing her wand out of her pocket, she flicked it towards the board and letters were beginning to make the word. One word that can either shock or excite the students.

Serpontoria. Nothing but that in big bold letters.

"Hey Hades!" She grinned and gave him a big hug. She turned towards the board and her eyes widened in surprise and a bit of excitement. "Woah, are we going to learn how to summon a snake?" Iris asked her Professor.

"Not really. Summoning and banishing. Just the two, Miss Grayson. No need for more dangerous ideas. Simply stand by the middle of the room, do my work first, and it's up to you on what to do."

Andria replied patiently and asked a question of hers she always wanted, "Is it rather difficult? Too dangerous to be exact? But in our case, these things will come in handy sometime around. And I want what's best for you all."

"Just trying to get excited Professor," Iris replied with a shrug and grinned. "Well, it sounds sort of dangerous. After all, snakes are something many people fear." She commented and stood infront of the room.

"Then we'll see if you can get out of that shell of fear and be brave enough for what lies ahead. Ready?" Andria said with a slight grin mixed with nervousness for her students and added another word of encouragement, "And I'll stop this as soon as things get out of the way. Don't worry. Well, here it goes. Oh please save us, Merlin."

The lady sighed and flicked her wand once, conjuring a snake from its tip. It slithered forward and towards the Gryffindor smoothly, aiming for the target right in front of its scaly face. It hissed furiously, its yellow eyes locked on the girl.

Iris had to admit, she did feel a bit scared looking at the creature but if there was anything she hated, it was showing her weakness. So she put on a neutral expression and took out her wand carefully, making sure to keep an eye on the snake. Her hands were slightly shaking as she held her wand but she forced herself to calm down and tried to remember the correct spell to use.

"Um....do you want me to duel the snake Professor?" She called out, the anxiety and curiousness evident in her voice.

Andria looked at the brave Gryffindor with a very worried expression on her face. She didn't want to see them that way. All scared and weary for themselves. But if it's the right thing to make them better, then there's nothing that she can do. But to expect the best from the young ones and lead them to be the persons they always wanted to be. Especially for the upcoming war. No wonder that pressures are tough that that horrible experience is after them sooner. Sooner than anyone can ever think of.

"Do your best to banish it, lass. And concentrate on it. Keep in mind of your safety and to destroy the creature. Nothing else. Know what you have to do." Andi whispered anxiously at the girl.

Iris nodded at the Professor and tried to focus. She couldn't remember the spell that the Professor had mentioned that was supposed to help her to banish the snake but she did read a book on snakes and how to conjure and make them disappear.

She pointed her wand more firmly at the snake and muttered, "Vipera Evanesca." She then looked at her teacher and asked with an almost sheepish smile, "Was that the spell I was supposed to use?"

Andria clapped her hands in acknowledgement of the girl's courage to banish the snake. She smiled back, nodding as her sign of congratulations and spoke highly with a proud tone from her voice, "And that's the way to do it! Thank you, Miss Grayson. I think stupendous points would be enough for your house. What a quick and intelligent mind of yours to think of that spell. I haven't even discussed it."

The lady patted the Iris' shoulder and and addressed the rest of the class as she came to notice that they used all of the time for the lesson. She stood by the middle with her arms open as her final farewell to her students since they're break is coming up.

"That's it for lesson two, class. And I do hope you all enjoy your breaks." Andi said.
