Talking Gargoyles (Open)

Aria stubbled into the Library and found the section on Hogwarts Demographic, he then ran his finger along til he found a book titled Portraits, Gargoyles and Statues Aria pulled the thick book from the shelf and glanced down at at it, he felt sure this would be the book he needed

He found a table near the window where the sun was streaming in as the warm rays filled the room, Aria then opened the book to the page of talking gargoyles but unfortunately it did not mention where they were located around Hogwarts, Bloody hell, now whats a lad to do Aria thought to himself, Professor Volan his History of Magic Professor asked the class to write a 4 page essay on the talking gargoyles of Hogwarts including their locations

Aria then rested his head on his hand and stared down at book with despair

The library. Not Olivia's sort of place but she supposed it was alright. She wasn't a fan of reading; never had the patience for it. But maybe there would be some interesting stuff to check out.

She walked amongst a few of the the shelves and picked out a random book. She looked around for somewhere to sit but saw that most of the tables were full. She finally spotted a table at the corner and walked over.

"Hey, mind if I sit here?" She asked the boy seated there, with a grin.

Aria looked up from the book as he heard someone talking to him, it was a Ravenclaw girl asking could she sit here "Aye of course ya can" Aria replied his Scottish accent very thick

He then looked down at the book and looked once more for any information about the location of these talking gargoyles but just as he found out before there was no information. Aria then looked up at the girl who was sitting at the table

"Wouldn't suppose you'd know where i's could find some talkin gargoyles would ya?" Aria asked the girl

"Thanks!" Olivia replied and sat down opposite the boy. "I'm Olivia, by the way." She introduced herself with a smile. She frowned slightly at the boy's question. "Sorry, can't help you there. I'm a first year, just got here a few months back so I'm still unfamiliar with the place." She said, almost looking sheepish. "And come to think of it, you're one of the very few people I actually managed to have a conversation with," commented with a laugh.

Aria frowned as Olivia said that she was a first year and didn't know her way around, Aria grinned and nodded " Aye I know the feeling, this my first year here as well. See I spent my first year working on my Pa's farm, I absoulutely loved it So at the end of the year I told Ma i wanted to stay working on the farm and become a farmer" Aria then let out a little chuckle

"Well she went right off then, and demmaned I go school this year" Aria then realized he hadn't introduced himself "Oh im Aria by the way lassie, or you can call me Arie if ya really want to" Aria was surprized to hear that she can't really found many people to talk to around here

This brought him abit of relief to know that it wasn't just, people around here just weren't to friendly " Well dair be some rude folk round here, much prefer me country lads, alot more real and friendly" Aria then looked at Olivia "So where'd you be from ?" he asked

"A farmer, huh? Sounds interesting but totally not my kind of thing." Olivia replied with a grin. "Well, I'm glad that you got a chance to come to Hogwarts, cause so far it's a great place." She smiled at Aria.

"Nice to meet you. And sure, Arie it is!" She told him. "And in case we end up as loners, we can be like best friends or something," she said, laughing good naturedly.

"Nah, not rude people...it's just me that needs to get out more I think." She grinned. "Oh, I'm from Ireland. But my father is from Germany. What about you? I'd say Scotland cause your accent is pretty prominent." She commented.

Aria shrugged his shoulders as Olivia said that its good he got a chance to come to Hogwarts " Well ya see I don't believe I need this kinda education, I know enough spells to run the farm, and im by far one of the best flyers in the Glens"

Aria then smiled as Olivia said that they could be friends " Aye I would very much like that" he answered, Olivia said that the reason she hadn't talked to people wasn't because they were rude but because it was her. Aria bite his lip as he disagreegeed with this, during his time here he had met a few rude people

"Trust me, one can never know too many spells." She told with a laugh and smiled at Aria. "One of the best flyers, huh? Nice ! I like flying but I don't think I'm that good. But it's definitely fun."

"In that case, we are officially friends!" She declared in a hushed tone and grinned. "Hey don't get me, I can't say that ALL people here are not rude cause that'd be just impossible." She commented, noticing the boy's lack of speech.

Aria gave a small laugh as Olivia said that you could never learn to many spells " Well lassie, you do have a lovin of learnin you do I'll give ya that"

Aria looked at the book which Olivia hand in her hand, it was titled A Guide to Beastly Tranfiguration Aria then looked back up at Olivia " Not a flyer hey, but like ya Transfiguration" Aria then gave a little grin at Olivia

"Well, I actually prefer outdoor lessons unlike classes like Divination and Herblogy." Olivia shrugged and smiled lightly. "Besides, learning spells can come in handy lots of times."

She frowned and looked at the book in her hand. "Nope, I just picked it out randomly," she told with a laugh. "Though it wouldn't hurt to give it a try I suppose. So, how do you like it at Hogwarts so far?" She asked Aria.
