Mythology Lesson 1: Third Year

Pierre made his way into his classroom, a stack of parchment held in his hand.

"Ah, Mr. Count, well done for taking the lead. Thank you for volunteering to give today's lecture. I hope you have found enough valid information on the right subject," he said as he walked towards his own desk at the front of the room and sat down, arranging the papers neatly. "Feel free to start," he said as he leaned back in his chair slightly, looking a the boy.

Quinn saw stopped laughing when she saw the professor. Quinn watched him talk to Tobias about what he wrote on the board. Quinn got off Tobias's desk and took her seat next to were Tobias sat. Quinn waited to see what the lesson for today was.

Tobias heard the Professor walk in. He saw the Professor sit and look at him.

"Sorry Professor, I am not qualified to teach this lesson. I will leave it to you." Tobias said as he walked back to sit next to Quinn with a amused look on his face.

"No? What a shame. I will just have to give you a Troll mark for this class," Pierre stated, coldly as he wrote the mark down on the parchment in front of him. He waited for the boy to seat himself before locking his chilling orbs onto the class. "Now are we ready to start?"

"Excuse me. A Troll mark for what, Only writing on the bored. I'm like sorry if it offended you Professor." Tobias temper was not going to show it's self. He could feel his eyes going fully black. He looked at Quinn and then to the Professor. This Lesson was going to be his personal hell for the day if his vampire side didn't calm down.

Quinn watched what happened closely. She saw Tobias look at her with black eyes and she had a feeling his vampire side was angry. Quinn touched his arm in attempt to try and calm him down a bit. Quinn didn't want a blood bath in the classroom, especially in front of Camille who was already freaked out about vampires.

Tobias felt a hand on his arm trying to calm him down. He took hold of that hand and wrapped both of his hands around it on his lap. He looked at Quinn.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. I hope my eyes don't scare you." Tobias whispered as he looked at her.

Quinn watched Tobias put their connected hands on his lap and gave him a warm smile. "Tobias, haven't I told you, nothing scares me, not even when you almost vampire out on me" Quinn smiled at him.

Tobias smirked and looked at the front of the class. He waited for the professor to get on with the lesson. His eyes would turn back soon, but for now he would be freaking people out with them.

Quinn watched him look to the front and saw his eyes were still black. Quinn squeezed his hand to reassure him that there was nothing to worry about and then took her hand back so they didn't get in trouble for holding hands in the class. Quinn looked forward and waited for him to start the class.

Camille smiled at the girl, "I'm Camille."

She watched as Tobias and Quinn laughed and joked around, thinking maybe he wasn't dangerous. But she shook that thought off of her head. He may not be dangerous, may not hurt her, but Camille couldn't deal with this. She couldn't.

She could deal with a lot of things, but with that,s he found she couldn't. Not yet.

Looking up as the professor walked in, she stayed quiet as he spoke.

Adam walked into the classroom. He saw the professor here. "I'm sorry I'm late" Adam apologized. Adam walked over to a seat in the front and waited to hear what this professor was going to teach them about.

"I gave you a Troll for you lack of manners and respect for the Professor. Now you can either start behaving appropriately or I will give you more punishment, Mr Count," Pierre said colsly, his eyes narrowed. "Now I think we wasted enough time already. We will begin the lesson," he said as he rose from his chair and went over to the board, with a flick of his wand it was wiped clean of what Tobias wrote previously. Grabbing the chalk the professor wrote the word Creating across the top of the world. "Who can tell me some of the creation myths?" he asked facing the class. It wasn't a hard question, such information was common public knowledge, it was only a matter of seeing which students could pluck out those bits of knowledge.

"Mr Jacobs," Pierre said, turning towards the newly arrived student. "Do not make it a habit of being late to my class. I will excuse only this once since this is the first lesson."

Quinn knew some just not a lot. Quinn raised her hand. "Yeah I won't be able to name them all but I can name some. There was the Aztec, Lilith, the world is made of the carcas of a giant, killed by the Aesir, that's all I no sir" Quinn finished. She wished she knew more but didn't.

"There are hundreds of creation stories, most all are supernatural, mythology religious tales, explaining the beginnings of humanity, the earth, life, the universe, and representation of the stars and planet’s movements." Tobias said to the Professor. He looked at Quinn with a smile.

Kaya ran into the class terrified of being late. She had been talking to her head of house and had to run from her to this lesson. This teacher kinda scared her a bit, but she loved the lesson. "I am really sorry I am late sir! I have a note!" she said fumbling about in her pocket to get it out.

" The Genesis creation myth," Camille said quietly, "It's the primary creation myth of both Judaism and Christianity. It's presented in the first two chapters of the Book of Genesis, the first book of the Bible. Chapter one describes the six days of creation by God, and chapter two shows God forming the first man from dust, placing him in the Garden of Eden, and removing a rib from his side to make the first woman, Eve."

She saw another girl come in and gave her a small smile, noticing she felt a bit scared of the teacher.

Quinn smiled back and Tobias. She heard the door open and close shut and someone panicking. Quinn looked over and went numb. Oh my god, her child hood friend Kaya. Quinn lost touch with her when her mom and her moved away. Kaya was one of the people that helped her threw her dad's abuse and drinking. Quinn was still in shock.
