Overall history: Crystal always loved nature, and she would spend as much time as possible outdoors. While it was frowned upon by her parents, she would spend a lot of time with muggles and their technology - which is where she got into photography. She loved to read, and spent a lot of time sitting in a field doing so. She lived in a very stable, safe home with her parents, and had no brothers or sisters.

Crystal had one boyfriend when she was nine, but that didn't work out: partially due to their age and partially because he found out she was a witch - stereotyping them all to be evil and dark. The boy was a muggle and Crystal's parents very angry when they found out. They went as far as to ground her for a week, simply because she was dating a muggle. Crystal learned how to swim at an early age, and spent a lot of time at the coast. She had a very close bond with her parents throughout her childhood.

Crystal adopted her eccentric dress sense when she was eight, and decided to experiment with colours and styles. She found that she felt free and comfortable in bright colours, and decided to wear these on a daily basis. She discovered that she had a knack for singing at the age of six when she was entered into a talent competition and won it. She took several art classes as a child, but got bored too easily and began drawing things from the magical world. Her parents pulled her out of the classes, claiming that she was too easily distracted.
