Lesson Two First Years

Eva walked into her class an sat down she was still smiling and happy. She liked that she had friends. It was great she loved her new life. She did miss her home but she wanted to stay where she had friends. Here her gift didn't make her a freak.

She took out her book and read a bit. She wanted to know what she was doing. She didn't want to seem strange being so far behind everyone.

Lynx walked into the classrom and saw there was only one student there, he was kinda surprized though I guess it was a few minutes early, Lynx nodded at the girl and walked up the front of the room and said behind his desk carefully examining the textbook, he then looked up at the girl

"So Miss Lee, do you know where the rest of your classmates are?" Lynx asked

Eva looked up slightly shocked when the teacher came in and talked to her. She hadn't heard him come in. She smile at him though.

"No I don't, but it's ok. I just want to learn." She said excitedly. "What are we doing today, professor?" She asked.

Lynx nodded slowly at the girl's answer, he then picked up a jar containing several beetles and walked in front of his desk

"Well... they will just have to catch up. Today we will be learning how to transfigure beetles into buttons" Lynx pulled out one of the beetles and placed it in his palm and aimed his what at it

"You must hold your wand very firmly then swish it in a circular motion and say the incantantion Bruchus Ipsum" the beetle quickly transformed into a button, Lynx then placed the button down on his desk and walked over to the girl's desk and placed a beetle down in front of her

" So I'd like you to have a try" Lynx said gesturing towards the beetle

Eva smiled at the professor and watched with interest as he turned a beetle into a button. She scowled a bit. She didn't want to hurt the little thing. She sighed and looked at the professor. She was going to try but she was scared about hurting the innocent creature.

She sighed as she did what was instructed. She made the proper motions and spoke clearly, "Bruchus Ipsum" She watched as the beetle was turned into a button. She sighed again. She was hopping she wouldn't be able to do it.

Eva looked up at Professor Miller. "Can you change the button back into a beetle?" She asked not liking this one bit.

Lynx could tell by all the girl's sighing that she didn't like doing this, he figured perhaps she must be a muggle born not quite understanding the concept of transfiguration. Lynx then nodded at the girl's question

"Certainly, you simply move your wand in an anticlockwise direction and give it a sharp flick" Lynx then paused for a moment " You know the beetle doesn't feel any pain when its transfigured, it just the sensation of being in another form really, you feel exactly the same just a different body"

Lynx then pulled out his wand "Here I'll show you, Amphora" Lynx flick his wand sharply, the girl slowly turned into a china vase, Lynx smiled " See, what I mean you still feel the same, just a different body" Lynx knew that the girl would be able to hear him just not speak

Eva smiled and sighed glad she wasn't going to be hurting the little thing. She smiled at the button and up at the professor. When she did that she was transformed into a vase. She felt rather strange. She still felt like her but it was different. She listened to him talk and tried to talk but she couldn't given that she was a vase. She inwardly sighed and hoped he'd turn her back.

Lynx flick his wand at the girl returning her back to her original form, he then smiled at her "See completely harmless" Lynx then looked down at the button the girls desk

"Though I suggest we should change him back, so to do that you hold your wand firmly and move it anticlockwise"
