Lesson Three First Years Empty Re: Lesson Three First Years

Post by Jess Wed May 16, 2012 7:51 pm

Jessica walked out to the flying field, feeling slightly nervous. 'Nervous? You coward' she sneered inwardly at herself, straightening up and faking a smile. She noticed the boy from her defense class and nodded curtly in his direction, before turning to face no-where in particular and staring into space. She was quite dazed for some reason, and this made her go off into a little dream world. She was staring quite happily into space for a while, just alone, where she couldn't be touched.

Jessica was snapped out of her daydream when Marcus spoke, and she whipped around quickly to face him. Her new robes flared out slightly when she spun, and her hair did the same.
"Hi Marcus. Not awfully, but it could be better," she said simply. She was still trying to see if this boy should gain her trust. She decided to wait a bit longer. "You know, you really should tighten that back up..." she half-smirked, looking down to see that her tie was lower than his and her top button wasn't done up. "I've got an excuse... My neck hurts."

Lesson Three First Years Empty Re: Lesson Three First Years

Post by Certh Salamar Wed May 16, 2012 8:27 pm

Certh slowly made his way out onto the flying field to begin his third lesson; he was quite good at maneuvering on a broomstick - and had to be, in order to earn a spot on the Slytherin Quidditch team. The S branded on his robes glistened in the sunlight when he breached the entrance to the field and noticed two other students - Jessica, of whom he had felt something for; and a gryffindor boy who appeared a little out of his normal habits.

With his personal broom in his hands which his uncle had bought him over the last holiday, he walked over to the girl and looked at her with a rather penetrating gaze, all the while having a small smile grow on his face.

"Well, you try falling out of bed at four in the morning when there's a dresser there, and tell me how your neck feels afterwards. I don't wanna be a seeker, anyway. I wanna be more of a chaser, I guess..."

Jessica laughed faintly at Marcus's remark about being choked, and brushed her hair from her eyes. When she noticed Certh walk up, she smiled. She hadn't spoken to him in a while, and was very tempted to run up to him and hug him. She resisted, partially because it would look extremely weird if she did so, and partially because people didn't know that she liked him that way.
"Hey Certh!" she said almost excitedly, her smile only growing bigger. Her hair was blowing gently out of her face through the wind and her eyes had a slight... Sparkle, it seemed. "How've you been?"

Post by Certh Salamar Wed May 16, 2012 8:54 pm

Certh put on a smirk, replacing his faint smile that had existed prior. He was not in a very good mood; not since that day in the forest, and he did not enjoy having others speak randomly to himself. He glanced over to the boy, and gave off a small snarl, or was it a hiss? And turned back to face Jessica. Her upbeat attitude seemed to help him a little, help him get out of the rut he had been in. "Hi. I have been okay; getting by." He told her, not able to continue the stare into her eyes - and instead, switched his focus to her nose. "How about you?"

But again - he had been interrupted by the Gryffindor. Instead of giving him the attention, he remained still and his wand had remained within his robes; not even drawing his arm to it, he kept his attention on Jessica.

"We're not all going to bite your head off, Marcus. That's awfully prejudiced," she said, slightly offended. She rolled her eyes, turning back to face Certh.
"Are you okay?" she sent him. She was still trying to get a grasp on her ability to send mind messages. It was a bit temperamental at times, especially when she hadn't used it in a while. It had been a few weeks, having not needed to use it over the break since she didn't do much talking.

"Did that send right?" she whispered, hoping it had. She laughed a little at how silly that would have sounded. "Uh, scrap that. Yeah, not bad. Nothing all too exciting, really. Sat around, did some homework, did some running, nothing out of the ordinary."

His body didn't even falter; or move, for that matter. No - he was too caught up in what had happened over the previous break, who he had hurt; almost killed. His eyes could be seen, shifting perspective from Jessica and quickly glancing over to the Gryffindor reaching for his wand. A small smirk existed on his lips, but his arm did not reach for his wand: it remained, at his side, unwavering. "He's not worth it - Jess." He told her, in a whisper as a thought was projected into his mind. Not knowing how to answer; he gave her a slight shake of his head. "yes, it sent" He replied, back in a whisper while his parseltongue nature showed through within his s's.

Eva walked on the ground she wanted to learn how to fly before she died. She sighed she was going to die. It sucked. She smiled at the gryffindor and at the girl. She scowled at Certh and wished she had taken another class any other class.

She walked and sat. She rubbed her chest and cursed the cancer. She hoped Certh didn't bug her if he did she would be mad.

As soon as Charlotte entered the field, she felt apprehensive. She hadn't actually got the chance to fly- she'd missed the second class and the first class had been over before they could try, and she certainly wasn't going to quit without ever trying, but she couldn't help but feel a bit. . . scared of going up in the air with a broom.

She saw Marcus, Jessica, Certh and Eva already there and gave them a small smile. "Hi," she said, and noticed Marcus had his wand out. "What's going on?" she asked Jessica.

Post by Jess Fri May 18, 2012 8:58 pm

Jessica turned to Vivian with an expression somewhere between concern, amusement and confusion.
"A hundred percent honestly, I don't know. I remember Marcus accusing all us Slytherins of being evil so naturally I got quite defensive, I was told he wasn't worth it and kinda zoned out afterwards," she shrugged, turning to face the others. She was still confused. She racked her brain for anything else that had gone on, but nothing came to mind. "Nope, can't remember a thing after that..."
