Kallie is the Minister for Magic, and as such takes that job very seriously. She often appears to take it more seriously than her social life. As a person, she is very serious and reserved. She suffers from minor OCD and panic attacks at time. Although she longs to be more outgoing, she struggles to make the connections sometimes. |
| Kallie needs more friends. She is serious and socially awkward so she does not approach many people. She had acquaintances in her school days, but none that she would really call a friend, aside from Brock. She spent too much time on her studies, just as she spends too much time on her work now. |
| As minster for magic, anyone who does not agree with the ministry is prone to being Kallie's enemy. |
Kallie had grown up for many years believing that she was going to be forever alone; the skills and abilities that hindered her from making friends, created even worse problems when it came to the area of men. Valuing using her head and logic over following her heart, she on many occasions could not see the practicality of having a relationship. So imagine her surprise when she had come to this point in her life and has not one but two loves.
Brock Cox, her school age best friend turned boyfriend was the typical sort of 'first love' that the stories claimed. Shocked not only that the boy chose to speak to her, let alone have any emotion close to loving her, Kallie and Brock were two very different people. On opposite ends of the spectrum (Her an antisocial workaholic, and he a unfocused party boy) they defied all logic by balancing each other out. She seemed to manage to in stow some responsibility in him, and he appeared to be the only one who could get her to relax. However, with all things involving young love, their temperamental on-again-off again relationship came to an abrupt halt when their personalities clashed in the ultimate way; Kallie's practical mind needed verbal confirmation of his feelings and Brock's own fear of emotions prohibited him from doing so. Their relationship crumbled in less than an hour. However, although she left, Kallie never got over the boy, harbouring feelings for him continually. Not that she ever thought she'd see him again.
That relationship ending, Kallie once again was left to believe that she was going to be forever alone, spending too much time in her work to bother with men. That's when Eli Patterson came along. Different then Brock in what seemed like almost every way. Their relationship was simple, slow building, but sturdy. It was everything that her last relationship wasn't. Eli was calm, patient, and willing to work with Kallie's every nerodic whim. Every mistake she made, he quickly forgave. It was a different love than Brock's but that seemed to be okay with Kallie. In her head this means it should last. What didn't work the first time, shouldn't be able to work again, right?
Happily engaged, Kallie figured everything was going swimmingly - until Brock came back into her life. Now the woman who thought she'd never fall in love, was stuck in love with two men, trying to be rational about her feelings and her life, while slowly drowning in them. |
