Overall history: Kallie found out she was pregnant shortly after finishing school. Uncertain whether Brock, the father would want the child, and certain that she would make a poor parent, she put her up for adoption. Evelina was adopted by a childless magical couple with the agreement that should anything happen, Kallie could be contacted as a last resort.

Growing up, Evelina was doted upon by both her parents, who never hid the fact that she was adopted from her. As they told her, she was their little miracle, the child they were able to have when it looked like they would never be able to. She was extremely close to both of them.

Around her twelfth birthday, her parents went for a night out and never returned. They had been killed in an accident. Evelina's birth mother was then contacted, and she found out just who this unknown woman was for the first time: the Minster of Magic, herself. Ev was not impressed. She only wanted her parents back - her real parents.
