Isn't Yule like Christmas? Empty Isn't Yule like Christmas?

One would have never guessed by looking at the scene in the magically enclosed pool residing on the Emerald Castle grounds that it was the middle of winter nearing Yule and there was a foot of snow covering the rest of the grounds. Dressed in Xmen themed trunks with Wolverine and storm duking it out on his rear end with the others cheering from their various positions on the fabric Zephan climbed out of the swimming pool sopping yet and looking like the skinny eight year old kid he was. His muscles weren't visibly apparant but he had a wirey strength and used his head for battling more than his physique.

"Come on, Cia. Karmzie, let's go. You promised we'd bake Christmas cookies today," the young Whelan shouted over his shoulder as he raced around the side of the charmed pool deck that always stayed dry. Grabbing his overly large Spiderman towel Zephan wrapped it around his shoulders, giggling slightly as it stopped shortly above his ankles. Bouncing excitedly he called again. "Come on. A promise is a promise."

Alexa was sitting at one of the many desks in Emerald Castle, marking many student essays. She positioned her glasses back on correctly and sighed at the students poor skills in grammer. Her green eyes blinked and looked at the window in front of her, watching the snow come down in sheets as it layed on the grounds. She ran a hand through her hair, leaning back on her chair as she placed her quill down on the desk.

"Only five more to go," Alexa muttered as she sighed. Her thoughts started to come along the line of christmas presents. She wanted to get a car for Ciar, how she promised to get the girl one. While Zephan, she would ask what he would like. Fade's eggs were going to hatch, movement within them started yesterday, so only a couple of more days to go with them. Alexa wondered if the boy would like one.Alexa looked across her shoulder and heard voices beyind the closed door at the back of her.

Resurfacing only long enough to dunk her sister back under the water, Karma slipped beneath the water to reappear at the edge of the pool, brown eyes sparkling with happiness as she reemerged to gaze up at Zephie. "Cookies?" She asked, nodding seriously. "Cookies is a great idea."

Hopping out of the pool and heading for her towel, the teen grinned. Her one piece bathing suit was Slytherin Emerald, designed to cross over her midriff in an X before attaching to her bottoms, leaving her back bare. Tugging her MARVEL towel off the lounge chair, the girl threw it over her head, ruffling her hair to dry it slightly before draping the red fabric over her shoulders.

"Come on then, Cia. You heard the Duke." Uncaring that her bare feet were now leaving small pools of moisture on the ground, Karma followed the boy, smiling at him as her eyes sparkled in that adoring brown way they did only when she was around her family. For once, she wasn't turning away from the others due to her scar, nor was she even remotely thinking of the thing.

After getting dunked by the person she considered a sister in all but blood the teen resurfaced in the pool sputtering. The girl was lucky Zephan was here or it would have been war. Shooting Karmz a half hearted glare she pulled herself out of the pool, shaking herself off in her black suit that seemed to scarcely cover anything, with two strips of fabric connecting the top and bottom piece. Grabbing her Hothead Wizard towel she expertly wrapped it around her waist and joined her siblings, squeezing the water from her hair.

"A promise is a promise," she replied ruffling Zephan's soaking wet hair. "Let's go make those cookies." Leading the rest of her trio into the house and across the hall dripping water as they went. As they were passing Thorpe's door Zephan burst into song singing 'Deck the Halls' at the top of his lungs and swirling around in his towel like it was a cape.

Dancing around and purposely trying to get water all over everything on the way to the kitchen Zephan giggled loudly as he twirled about. "Deck the halls with boughs of holly. Falalala Lalalala." He sung at the top of his lungs while pretending he was Superman in his towel using it as a cape and dashing side to side across the hallway.

"Tis the season to be jolly. Falalala Lalalala. Don we now our gay apparel. Falalalala. Lalala." He giggled and swooped around his sisters before racing ahead into the kitchens, towel held out to the sides like wings.
