    Fera Verto

is a spell that Transfigures animals into water goblets. If done incorrectly or with a faulty wand the transformation will only be partially successful (Harry Potter Wiki, 2012). To cast this spell the students must simply hold their wands firmly and give it two sharp flicks while saying the incantation "Fero Verto"

To reverse this spell, the students must aim their wand at the water goblet and swish their wand in an anticlockwise direction while visulizing the goblet returning to the animal form

Juliet frowned to herself as she looked at the tiny mouse that sat upon her desk. She had to admit, this was the part of transfiguration she had never qutie took too. She was sure she understood that what she was doing would not hurt the animal, still, it was quite alarming to watch what was once a creature turn into a piece of metal.

She just couldn't wrap her head around the fact how that coudln't be a little scrambling for the poor creature. She certainly wouldn't appriciate being turned into water goblet.

Still, it was class, and what else did she have to do that was better?

Rolling her shoulders, and visualizing her outcome - the way she wished the little guy to change - as she had been taught to do, Juliet readied her wand and got to work.

Casey looked at the parakeet sitting on her desk while it stared balefully back at her. When would she ever need to use this? She'd rather use her hands to drink. Sighing, she flicked her wand. "Fera verto." the first few times, nothing happened and Casey smiled a little to herself. She didn't really want it to work and that's why it wasn't. Sighing again, she repeated the spell and actually meant it this time. "Fera verto." the bird transformed into a crystal goblet. She picked it up and rolled the stem through her fingers, staring at it pensively.

Aragorn leaned into his seat, looking at the guinea pig that he'd found on his desk, gripping his wand gently in his hand. He liked Transfiguration well enough, but he wasn't certain that he'd care much for it if this kept up.

He sighed and pointed his wand at the creature in front of him, waving his wand at it and saying uncomfortably, "Vera Verto." The incantation was obviously incorrect, and the pig-mouse animal turned into a hairy cup with teeth, squeaking. He grimaced and reversed it quickly, trying again and this time attempting it with an F instead of a V.

"Fera Verto." The guinea pig changed perfectly this time and he smirked at it, "Perfect."

Quinn walked into Transfiguration and looked to see other students there already. She took an empty seat but not before she gave a slight wave to everyone. She looked up to the board and read what was written. She got out her wand and pointed it at the goblet. She flicked her wand tip on the tip of the goblet. "Fero Verto". When it transformed she was satistfied. "Perfection" she mumbled.

Camille walked into Transfiguration with a yawn, tired from a night spent looking through her photo album. Pictures from when she was a child, pictures from Beauxbatons, even some she took this year.

After finding out what they had to do, she walked to her desk and groaned when she found a mouse there. She hated mice, she'd have any creature, just not this one. Of course, she wouldn't have to touch it - just transfigure it into a goblet. But she wouldn't be able to concentrate with that little creature squeaking all the time.

"Alright, does anyone wanna trade animals with me?"

Jaiden yawned for like the fourth time that morning. He was up mostly all night trying to sleep but he kept tossing and turning. Jaiden walked into Transfiguration and saw Quinn and Camille there. He gave them a slight wave and took an empty seat. He grabbed his wand and looked at the animal in front of him. Jaiden gave his wand two sharp flicks. "Fera Verto" Jaiden watched as his animal got turned into a water goblet.

Casey shrugged. "Sorry Camille. I already turned mine." She waved her glass goblet in the air carelessly. You can always ask the Professor Miller for a new one." She turned to watch Jaiden walk in. "Hey Jaiden," she greeted.
