With a flop, Mary threw her books onto the table within the library, the sound echoing in the halls for a moment. Glad that there weren't anyone else in the library at the very moment, the young girl settled in the nearest chair, pulling her books close and opening her potion-making book, lookin gup what they'd went through in the class earlier on.

She'd had few problems with the potions, although had gotten a slightly lighter colour than what the recipe said that it'd be. Smiling softly, she rolled out a piece of parchment, and found a barn owl quill inside the pockets of her robe. Stroking her fingers over the edges, she began writing down what she'd done wrong in the book, while working with an essay for the same class.

It seemed quite reckless to write in her book, although she found it easier to remember things that way, and she'd already discovered various things that could help her when nearing their OWLS. Things that the book didn't mention, but which worked surprisingly well. Pleased with her work so far, she took a silent break from her work, and found herself a book from the shelves, about wizarding history.
