Briony smiled and nodded her head once more at what the man said she could have guessed that he would like something to do with the regimented nature of the Romans:

"What is it about them that you like?"

She asked interested and not worried about the cool air whipping around her signalling the latening of the hour.

"I just have a thing for Italy, it has a beauty England couldn't hope to have."

Caedus merely grinned as he answered Briony's question. "Being able to build and expand their power for more than a thousand years, their evolution with their seesaw trend of rulers, overall history of events, contributions to the modern world. Just some things of many other things attributed to them. A nation that ruled most if not all of Europe is a subject that I enjoy delving into."

At the same time, Caedus was also thinking about the early days of the Roman Catholic Church along with a grand number of secrets that had been kept hidden from the world during the days of the Roman Empire. Of course, that was something else although he wondered if this world's history was a bit more different than the history of his native world. Since Briony seemed to like Venice, Caedus's mind somewhat trailed to a single phrase: La Regina del Mare Adriatico or the Queen of the Adriatic Sea. Yet as sudden as it was, the thought went away.
