Charms | Y.2 L.1 (closed)

Mad Lewis wrinkled her nose at a particularly disgusting cauldron she had borrowed from the Potions mistress. Well, at least some of them were bound to end up a little cleaner.

Or melted, though, she still didn't know how that Humphries idiot has managed that with a cleaning charm.

The woman leaned against her desk to wait for her second-years, idly twirling her wand in one hand.

Anna walked in to the classroom, sitting at a desk in the middle. She hated Charms, but she knew it was an important subject and she had to take it. She sat quietly at her desk, waiting for the other students to come in.

Zayden silently entered Charms classroom and nodded to Professor Lewis. She then, took a seat near the window.

Iris entered the room and she recognized not a one familiar face. She bowed to the professor and took a seat beside no one, waiting for the others to come.

Alessa walked inside the room with swag and confidence, as she was fascinated by the class. "Hello Professor," she said, facing her teacher and bowing slightly as she walked towards the seats. She saw Iris, so she went towards the seat next to her. "Heya Iris!" she said, smiling as she sat.

Iris turned to the familiar voice, and greeted her friend. "Oh goody! I have someone who knows me here." She smiled that playful smile and gestured Alessa to sit beside her.

She giggled. "I remember the old days when I don't know anyone at all. It's was rather frustrating, really," she said, placing her satchel behind her. "Has the class started yet, or...?"

Iris agreed and made a soft laugh. "Yeah, those days. The class hasn't started yet. We're still waiting for the others. I think this may take awhile. Haven't seen Alexis. Maybe she's not in this class."

"Oh, I see," she said, nodding. "Or maybe Alexis just lost her way through the castle? It happens to me a lot."

She took her Charms book and attempted to do some advanced reading - though it'd be useless, since she did that twice a week before she left the manor.

Iris giggled because of the possible explanation. "Still on our second year. We'll be more familiar here soon."

Alessa laughed. "I seriously doubt that - the staircases change occasionally, who knows what else will change their course?" she laughed again, apparently amused by her own joke.

"Ah well..." Iris crossed her arm on the table and put her head in. The laughing sound still heard on a monotone. How easy people can make her smile. How easily convinced she is of their jokes. She's always the happiest of the happiest if she wants to. But the lonely if she has to. She hates being a loner. She mostly avoids it.

Alexis peered through the door anxiously, 'I'm not late, am I?'
I suppose I'm safe for now. Straightening up she entered the room and greeted, 'Hello Professor.'
She noticed Iris and Alessa, gave a little wave and went to join them.

Laedin entered the classroom quietly, looking around before nodding to the Professor. He automatically moved to the back of the classroom, away from the other students. He really needed to learn how to be social, sometimes. He was really only comfortable with Lacey, but she was a third year, so what was the use in that? Running a hand through his hair, he sighed.

Tobi arrived to Charms hopefully on time he thought. He saw there were few students there already. He noticed there were a lot of girls already and since he really didn't know how to handle girls he found the only seat beside a guy from Ravenclaw. "Hello," he said "Do you mind it I sit here," he asked. He hoped he would say yes but guess you can't always get what you want he thought.

Laedin looked up to the Hufflepuff who just asked to sit with him. He eyed the other for a moment before shrugging, gesturing to the chair and saying "Go ahead." There went his hopes of sitting alone. Well, maybe this could be a way to make other friends apart from Lacey..

"Thanks a lot" Tobi said, "My name is Tobias by the way; Tobi for short. You can call me which ever you want. It makes no difference to me." As he sat down he took out a book he had been reading and read while he waited for class to start.

"No problem," Laedin muttered, closing his eyes for a few seconds. "Laedin. Lae or Liir for a nickname, or whatever you can come up with," He then sighed, his French accent shining through. He placed his elbow on the table and then his chin onto his palm, looking straight to the front of the classroom.

'You have an accent. I think it's cool when people have accents. I have one as well but hide it pretty well." Tobi said. "I like Lae, it sounds neat." he said. "Just to let you know I don't handle girls very well so I was glad you let me sit here. Growing up I didn't have a lot of friends and of that there were less girls. I loved books more then trying to get to know girls" he said laughing.

Iris turned her head up from her current position and waved back at Alexis and signaled to sit beside them.

Alessa waved at Alexis. "It's amusing how we end up having most of the classes together, isn't it?" she asked both of them as Alexis sat.

'Um,ok let'a see how many classes we have together. I've signed up for Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, Astronomy, Muggle and Wizard duelling. Oh, and Herbology. How about you two?' Alexis asked them.

Alessa looked up as if the answers were found at the ceiling. "Well, I've got Care of Magical Creatures, Astronomy, Flying Lessons, Potions, Muggle Studies, DADA, History of Magic, Occlumency, Charms, Wizard Dueling, Muggle Dueling, and Transfiguration."

Looking at what she'd said, it was her first time realizing how hectic her schedule is. "Oh Merlin, I really cannot wait 'til term break."

Laedin considered ignoring Tobi, but decided it would be rude. "I'm from France," He said finally, still not looking at the other boy. "And I'm not social full stop. I don't really have any friends."

'Oh, damn, how can I forget DADA and Occlumency? I have them too. But Alessa dear, term has just started.' Alexis was getting impatient, when will the class start?
