"Sure, sure. I should win. I haven't eaten them since my petition. And I will gobble them all up! Just like that. Missed eating them actually." She bragged and joked around, her hands motioning while telling.

"Petition?" Anna asked curiously, but she shook it off. "Ah well, never mind. We'll see about that. I love chocolate. Om nom nom."

Iris tilted her head to her Slytherin friends, not wanting to tell more and hoping Anna will know soon. She could just ask them. She doesn't like to talk about it now. The case was already solved. She continued to smile and chuckle. "Really. I'll be ready. I shouldn't need to practice."

Anna chuckled.

"Who on earth would practice eating chocolate?" she giggled. "Chocolate is like... a drug, so to say. Once you eat one bit of it, you'll eat more... and more... and more... until your stomach explodes."

Iris just laughed it out. She likes a funny Ravenclaw. Not all are like this. She knew one who is boisterous enough to say that Ravenclaw is the 'smart' house. He's her partner in Potions. She just hoped they'll soon get along. She asked out of nowhere, "Do you know much about that Crouch boy or something? Sorry, can't get his name right. She seems too proud to be a Ravenclaw. That one kinda annoys me in Potions."

"Crouch?" Anna asked, raising an eyebrow. "If there is, I haven't met him yet... not like I want to. At least you got a partner, though! I don't have one!"

"Oh..." She wondered. "I don't quite get along with boys though. Especially from the other houses. Not much of befriending your fellow Ravenclaws eh?" She asked Anna. It is true, for once, she befriended girls starting with this year. Second years, not much of the upper years. But she does want a male friend and an upper year friend. That would be nicer.

"I know a couple of Ravenclaws," Anna replied. "But Natty Batty here is my best friend out of all of them and I adore her. It was just Anna and Nat for our First Year, and it was kkind of depressing. Yeah, I do have some guy friends... but they're all in Asia. And if the boys here don't want to make friends with us then they're really darn shy."

Iris agreed. "Yeah." That was all she can say. She waited for the class to start. She was kind of bored. Where could the others be? She thought about them not being punctual and not caring for the early comers who were waiting endlessly.

Laedin winced as he listened to the conversations going on around him. They made it sound like it was his fault he's anti-social. Just because he didn't have friends, and was bullied for being French when he was younger. And he said Ravenclaw was the 'smart' house because most of them bullied other people, especially the ones who are different..

'Screw it.' He thought. The truth was, he isn't proud at all. He'd do anything to just blend into the background and be ignored..

The classroom door slammed shut loudly as Mad straightened from her deceptively casual pose against her desk.

"Chatter will cease," she commanded. "This is a classroom, not a social hall."

Such a noisy group; she sneered. "Ten points from Slytherin for bringing food into my class, Miss Romano. Miss Finnigan, were you tardy, I assure you, you would know.

"Wands on your desks. You should have all completed your summer essay on Household Charms. Well? Pull them out!" Mad snapped.

Waiting for the class to comply, she summoned the parchments and placed them on her desk. "Who can name some commonly used cleaning charms?"

Merlin, help me, if any of these brats talk before I call on them...

Leadin jumped and pulled out his essay and Charms book, putting his wand down onto his desk. He raised his hand slowly, intimidated by the Charms Professor. He brushed some hair out of his eyes, thinking through a list of spells before he landed on a basic cleaning spell.

Mad felt pleased by the immediate compliance visible amongst her pupils.

"Yes, Mr. Crouch," she called on the boy who'd raised his hand. "What is your guess?"

"Um," Laedin stuttered, then took a breath. He should be used to this! "Scourgify is a basic cleaning Charm.." He trailed off at the end, wincing slightly. Truthfully, he had no idea what to say next, or if he should say anything.

"Correct, scourgify is the most common cleaning charm, Mr. Crouch," Mad responded. "Any guess as to which the second most common is?" She raised her eyebrow expectantly at the class.

Clarisse raised her hand in the air and was psyching herself up for her answer. She had to make sure she wouldn't mess up.

Koehl growled outside the Charms classroom and slipped inside.

"I'm sorry I'm late proffessor, ran into Peeves." She sat near the back and got out her summer assignment, setting it on her desk. She had heard the Professor ask what was the second most commonly used cleaning charm. She raised her hand, also noticing that another student had her hand up in the air. Koehl hoped that they didn't have the same answer.

Mad was unsympathetic, though, she didn't like Peeves in the least. He was a menace.

"Most unfortunate, Miss Saeva," she told the late-comer. "It would seem our resident poltergeist has cost Hufflepuff House twenty points for making you late."

The professor called on the first girl who raised her hand. "Yes, Miss Valliere? What do you think is the second most common cleaning charm?"

"Errmmm.. Tergeo?" she said uncertainly.
It must be because of her nervousness, yes, mostly her nerves that made her answer like that.

She saw the other student with her hand up. She hoped that they didn't have the same answer because that wouldn't be nice for the other girl. Or however you're supposed to feel when someone just said the same answer as yours.

Iris laughed at Less. What a nice one to start the term. She wasn't mad at all. She focused on the topic and thought of reciting from their house. The Ravenclaw guy recited first. She has to cope. She put her wand on her desk and thought of an answer. She raised her hand and said quickly. "Reparo." It can fix household things too.

Hmm.. Yeah, she has a point.., she internally commented on the last answer.

Alessa made a shocked face towards her friends, pouted and crossed her arms after taking her essay out of her bag. Hmph. It's not my fault I was bored due to the late comers, she thought.

She totally agreed with Anna. Chocolate is a drug, but she has to learn how to control her hormones.

Wait, that will never happen.

Shrugging everything off, she raised her hand confidently as to answer her professor's question: household charms.

Koehl shrugged, already knowing losing points was inevitable. She sighed as Iris, a slytherin girl, said her answer. She put down her hand and watched the professor.

"Tergeo is the second most common cleaning charm," Mad confirmed. "Five point apiece to Ravenclaw, Mr. Crouch and Miss Valliere.

"Reparo, while infinitely useful, is not a cleaning charm, Miss Frances."

Waving her wand towards the chalkboard, the directions for the two spells appeared on the board. Another wave, and the filthy cauldrons distributed themselves amongst the students.

"The wand movements can be found in your text," Mad directed. "If you are need of assistance, or have any questions, you will raise your hand. If I hear any speaking besides the charms you are practicing, it will be House points.

"You have until the end of class to practice. You may begin."

Anna decided to start practicing. Instead of cleaning the entire thing all at once and risk half the pot being absolutely filthy, she decided to concentrate on one small part of the cauldron. She pointed her wand at the inside of the cauldron, aiming at one of the edges.

"Scourgify," Anna muttered. And a light flashed to the spot. She smiled, trying to check if it was clean or not.
