Lesson Four (Third Years)

Cobalt yawned as he wandered into his classroom from his office, connected to the classroom at the back. Sighing a little, he sat himself down in his chair and idly looked around the room. It was a gloomy room already but he was about to make it gloomier. Flicking his wand, tall candle sticks flew out of his office to line the wall, the candles lighting quickly and silently. With another wave of his wand he closed all of the shutters so that the only light was from the candles along the edge of the wall.

This was going to be a fun lesson.

When Aireon walked into class, his eyes immediately squinted so as to adjust to the dim lighting. He realized that today's lesson had something to do with the dark. He sat down in a seat at the front. He'd seen just the general area where it was, but that was enough for him.

"Hello, sir," he greeted. He closed his eyes, and tried to forget about using them, since they'd be practically useless in this environment. You got to feel, smell, and hear your way through.

Arsen entered the room, his eyes quickly adjusted to the dull light. For a man that could make light he was weirdly drawn to the dark. He moved over to his usual seat over in the corner and began to draw on the edge of his parchment. The others already in the room totally forgotten to him. As far as he was concerned he was here on his fathers orders and that didn't mean he had to talk to people.

Lucy walked into the classroom and sat down near the back, this would have been her favourite class, well one of them anyway, if the teacher didn't pick favourites quite so obviously. But, seeing as he did, she would just avoid any sort of attention from this class. She didn't even bother to smile as she dropped her bag on the floor.

Demo looked about the classroom and sighed. He didn't like the dark, but he thought it best to just deal with the change. He patted the desks and the chairs (hoping that someone wouldn't hex them while he was touching it, for his fear of losing his fingers was great) and finally sat down in his ordinary seat.
