Elizabeth strolled into the Occlumency Class and looked around, she noticed no one had arrived yet. Elizabeth then walked up to her desk and placed down a few texts books, she then walked over to the window and looked out at the view of the black lake, she saw a group of first years walking off into the forest lead by Asric Must be the hunting class Elizabeth thought to herself

Elizabeth then leaned against her desk, she felt kind of excited being a Professor at Hogwarts, though she felt as though the last Occlumency Proessor wouldn't have taught them much, so she knew she was in for a lot of work ahead of her

Elizabeth then pushed herself up onto her desk so she was sitting on it, she then began strumming her fingers on the desk waiting for the students to arrive

Iris entered the room with excitement about the finally learning new stuff on the start of the term. She sighed when she saw that Rosie wasn't the professor of the subject now once she came in. Perhaps the past teacher can't handle teaching now since she's already the leader of the Order Iris and her friends belong to.

She walked through the door and greeted the new professor with a much more hidden disappointment. Maybe the new one will be a good teacher to, "Good day, professor."

Elizabeth saw a Slytherin girl enter the classroom, she was glad to see a Slytherin though she didn't let her house bias stop her from thinking that this girl probably didn't have the desired skill for Occlumency.

The girl greeted Elizabeth, Elizabeth stared at the girl with a look of uncertainity as she was deciding if this girl would be worth teaching. " And your name is?" Elizabeth said sternly

Her eyes were firmly fixed on the Slytherin, waiting for her answer

Iris felt a sudden emotion which is rather defined as something scary for her. She gulped as the professor asked a stern question and try as she might to answer in a relaxed tone,

"Iris, professor. Call me Eye instead." she forced to look at the woman standing before her and sighed once she did. Rudeness can be classified as not looking at the person when having a conversation.

    Surely, Iris didn't want that.

The Slytherin girl introduced herself, Elizabeth looked at her coldly, " I think I will just call you Iris, ok" Elizabeth said sharply, she stared at the girl for a while before walking back behind her desk

Elizabeth sat down behind her desk and reached into her bag, placing out viles which contained a potion, as she was unpacking the viles from her bag and placing them on her desk in a neat line she then paused and looked up at Iris

" Well get your notebook out ready, I would assume you would want to take notes" Elizabeth said sternly in a very belittling tone

she then continued to take the viles out of her bag and place them on the desk, while she waited for the rest of the class to arrive

Iris' eyes went wide and after straightening herself, she went over to her usual seat and sighed while taking out her notebook. Sure, the new professor was different from Rosie. And that feeling made her miss the old professor much. She shrugged it off and began to write down notes as she was told and given that stern look.

She took a reference book out of her bag and scribbled nervously at her notebook as she searched for informative facts on the pages. Iris sighed and hoped that the others and her friends would arrive sooner. As in really soon. She didn't want to be alone here.

Elizabeth firmly fixed her eyes on Iris and glared at her for a bit while she wrote down some notes from her text book, Elizabeth got up from her desk and walked slowly over to Iris's desk " And I suppose your psychic and you just know what to take notes on before I even begin teaching" Elizabeth said sharply

Elizabeth then pulled out her wand " Incendio" Iris's piece of paper which she had been writing her notes on burst into flames, Elizabeth watch the piece of paper quickly turn to ashes " I told you to get your notebook out, not start writing Miss Frances, and for that I deduct five points from Slytherin"

Elizabeth then turned her back towards Iris and quickly walked back to her desk and continued to lay out the potion viles

Iris froze on her seat as she stared at the ashes left of her notes. She hadn't even began writing a whole paragraph for goodness sake. Water started to compose in her eyes as she lay her head down, her reddened face blocked by her black hair. She controlled her sobs and just wished that Rosie would be the professor again. Surely, nobody likes the new cruel one. She should have known from the start. But she isn't a psychic either.

She ignored the burnt ashes on her table and chose not to clean them. She can't use magic. What would happen if she did? Another deduction from her house? No. She won't. Never. Iris sighed after moments of silence and placed out her handkerchief over the dirt. She wiped it clean the muggle way instead rather then gaining more punishment. After compiling the ashes inside the cloth, she hid it inside her bag and waited. Waited for the other students to arrive. Or will they even come at all? Iris thought wildly to herself as she kept her head down and avoiding the professor's gaze. She wouldn't want to spend the rest of the lesson alone. Nobody wants to.

If only Sophia knew about this. But what would her apprentice do now? This is a requirement coming from her. To take this lonely class for Iris' own good. She must be strong enough to handle this. To make her a better person. And the situation now seems to be that all of the wizarding people are rather rude because of the upcoming war and private problems.

[OOC: Hey guys well as you probably have realised im a Ministry Worker now, so Miles Bloxam will be taking over the class until someone applys for the job, so we're just going to adjust the class a little bear with]

Elizabeth watched Iris clean up the ashes manually, Urrgh just like a filthy muggle Elizabeth thought to herself in disgust, she then walked behind her desk and sat down and gave one last glare at Iris, Elizabeth then looked out the window thinking of how much she wanted to get out of here

The Ministry told me I would hear back before the start of the new school year Elizabeth thought angerily to herself, she hated teaching these students, as far as she was concerned they were all completely useless, Elizabeth then began struming her fingers on the desk in a very unsatisfied manner

Miles was on his way to the Occlumency classroom after Asric gave him a letter from the Ministry of Magic to give to Elizabeth. Miles apporached the door and gave it a loud knock then entered

He stood at the doorway and quickly looked around the classroom he saw Elizabeth sitting at her desk looking rather unimpressed " Oh Elizabeth hi there, um Asric wanted me to give you this letter its from the Ministry he said it was very important"

Miles walked slowly up to Elizabeth's desk and handed her the letter

Elizabeth heard a knock on the door, and in entered the young Professor Bloxam, Elizabeth gave him a firm glare. He told Elizabeth that she had a letter from the Ministry of Magic as Miles walked up to hand her the letter she quickly snatched it out of his hands

Elizabeth tapped her wand on the letter, and it instanly formed a mouth and eyes and began speaking to her

    Dear Madam Lestrange
The Ministry of Magic has come to the descison to employ you as an Obliviator, your job as you would be aware of is to ensure to keep the wizarding world hidden from muggles by using memory charms. Your employment with the Ministry is effective from today, we have had communications with Asric Chaos who has told us that he will find a temporay subsitute for your position

Hoping you are well; Quin Macbeth[i]

Elizabeth looked up at Miles, " Well i presume your the temporay Professor" Elizabeth said sharply

As Miles handed Elizabeth the letter he felt it very firmly being ripped from his hands, Miles looked down at the floor as the letter was speaking, he didn't want Elizabeth to think he was eavesdropping

Elizabeth snapped at Miles, he was taken back and went a bit red in the face as he always did when he became nervous

"Yes thats correct, I will just be taking over you class until they find a replacement, just make sure you leave your lesson plans on your desk in your office"

Miles said still feeling very uncomfortable around Elizabeth

Elizabeth then looked Miles up and down, then gave a smile smirk " Well got luck with this pathetic bunch" Elizabeth said then let out a laugh and pushed past Miles and walked out the classroom slamming the door behind her

Elizabeth was so happy that she would be leaving Hogwarts and all it's pathetic students

Alexis was late and she hated being late. Hopefully Rosie won't mind. But she wasn't there when she entered. She saw a lady storm out of the classroom, she peered into the class and saw a professor standing.
'Erm, hello. Isn't this Occlumency classroom?' she asked the professor. Did they change the classrooms. It'd be hell to find them all again, she shook her head. But wait, isn't that Eye?

Iris turned towards the familiar voice from her torturing position. She looked at Alexis and her face finally lit up after hoping that another student would turn up in this class. And it is not only her to suffer the consequences. She became happy again at the thought of having a companion and once she heard that the cruel professor's not going to teach again. Ever.

She smiled at the new professor. Professor Bloxam from History? Two subjects? Well, it doesn't matter anyway. He's still a temporary teacher unless the school will find a new one. Someone even better and like the good professors.

Iris waved at Alexis and gestured her to take seat. Beckoning her to seat beside her friend quite anxiously. She wondered whether her face wasn't that disturbing. After forcing herself to not to cry. Surely, her story would be told to her friend at the end of the day.

Miles then walked over to Elizabeth's desk and sat down and began looking over the lesson plan, he then looked up at his class " Sorry I just gotta read over this, I teach History of Magic so this is all very different for me" Miles said with a bit of a smile

he then realised his comment might make him sound like he didn't know what he was doing, and he already felt from History class that Iris didnt have much respect for him becuase he had only just graduated from teachers college

" Oh but when I graduated from teachers college some months ago I did completed a Legilimency course" Miles added

Iris looked at the professor behind the desk and smiled weakly. She just felt an uneasy emotion in him and nervousness about this new change. She felt guilty after seconds of considering that she let her shield go. This is Occlumency after all. And she had to force herself to do it completely and more effectively. She sighed and comforted the professor once she thought of having no other choice to hide the need to pity,

"It's all right, professor. I know you can do this. I'm quite enjoying History now. Everything's interesting to learn when you take over especially this subject. I do need to learn. And besides, you're so much better. I'd obviously rather choose you instead of . . . never mind."

Iris chuckled and grinned a genuine one after finding that happy place and confidence inside of her. This feeling of hers was shown everywhere. Well, except the earlier moments of torture Occlumency. Fortune was after all present always. She believed in that now.

Miles felt touched by Iris's comforting words "Thank you Iris that means a lot to me" Miles then read over the lesson plan once more then got up and walked around to the front of his desk

" So today we'll be learning about Legilimen influences, this is where a Legilimen places a thought or idea into your mind which strongly influences you, it takes a great deal of will power to resist. So Iris could you tell me why a Legilimen would choose to use this method rather than lets say the Imperius Curse?"

Miles smiled at Iris and waited for her answer

"Well, the Curse is rather illegal right? So the Legilimen would put pictures into minds instead just to be safe. And it will take an easy process if your brain influences you. Some might think that it is your idea. Like your own. With nobody telling you what to do. To not to be obvious. That's my guess, professor."

Iris answered with a hint of certainty and continued on this time with a confusing thought,

"But the person should master it to use it on another. So he can't commit such dark crime. He will consume most of his time training himself to finally do it successfully. Without tempting himself to do the Curse."

Miles nodded at Iris's answer " Thats absoultely correct, because the it is an unforgivable curse Legilimens will tend to use to method to influence someone. And as you stated it does require some skill though, espically the more complex the task is"

Miles then pulled out his wand and smiled at Iris " So today I will be training you on how to resist this influence, it's done rather like putting a shield up when the thought is placed into your mind you must then of nothing you must be completely blank, though of course this quite hard to do"

Miles then walked closer Iris " The thought I will be implanting into your mind is that you will turn your books into beetles. Now take sometime to prepare yourself becuse the sensation to transfigure your books will be so strong it's like no other craving you have ever had, just remember try and think of nothing don't allow your mind to think of transfiguring your books"

Miles gave Iris a look of encouragment and waited for her to tell him she was ready

Iris nodded and sighed. This was her chance. Now or never. She's actually going to resist the temptation to free her thoughts to another one's mind. She closed her eyes and counted silent breaths. More determined than ever, she opened it and looked at the professor's with some hint of nervousness downing on her. She had to force herself on not to fall for it. Though it was difficult to attain, she had to at least try and see the results.

Lesson One- 3rd years Empty Re: Lesson One- 3rd years

Post by Sel Mon Dec 12, 2011 9:21 am

Iris held one short breath after she felt the presence that came inside of her. She steadied her grip on the far end of the table and seated sturdily. She concentrated and kept her eyes shut. The influence was taking her in, every inch of her to obey what she was being told. It was making her go down and fall for that temptation of pit. The girl thought and thought, harder and harder. Persuading herself to resist of even force to. This was her only chance. And she did not expected it to take this much effort to exert.

Iris remembered her mentor saying that she needed this. And one meeting she had concentrated enough to be given some recognition from Sophia. She was happy with that. They both were. And what would be the feeling when you have finally accomplished this task? Mesmerizing? A fulfillment in life? Perhaps that's it.

Sooner, after several moments of struggling, Iris' was suddenly fading into an end. She felt scared, disappointed of her own actions. Stretching out one hand to reach her pocket to get her wand and transfigure the books into beetles, even if she did not know how to, she made a side of her mind to recall her goal and tried it that way. While the other was doing its own job. She grabbed that shield farther, coming it close to that influence and will eventually cover her very whole.

Iris kept on with her plan. But she was cut short when her weakness arrived and her body was sucked into a dark abyss. All of her consciousness and being gone in an instant. She felt something cold and one last thing she heard was her own final gasp until she drifted away towards that odd sensation.

Miles watched the small blue beetles begin to run all over her desk, Miles then waved his wand over the beetles turning them back to text books, Miles then looked at Iris and smiled encouragingly " That was really well done Iris espically for your first attempt, you are clearly a very skilled Occlumen. Now we are going to try it again this time when the influence enters your head think of a joyious time you had with the books a time that made you laugh perhaps"

Miles nodded at Iris " I know its a tricky thought to think of but im sure you will find a happy memories with these books" Miles then waited for Iris to indicate that she was ready

Iris blinked rapidly and it took quite a time before everything began to register in her mind. She had resisted the first attempt. Which was good. But fell for the second time which was rather tricky. She sighed an chose to do it again for her to finally accomplish. She wasn't that satisfied even though given already the compliment a while ago. She wanted to succeed that badly. Perhaps to make her mentor an herself proud.

The girl nodded and urged herself to come up with another dose of strength for this one. Readying her mind with joyous thoughts and memories she had with books way before. True, they are her escapade from reality and a bridge to walk over towards another world.
