Miles smiled at Iris then flicked his wand in her direction again, he soon entered her mind he decided to use abit more force this time seeming that she but up such a good fight last time

Miles then inserted the the influence, he made it quite strong he knew Iris would have to have a lot of strength not to resist this, though she clearly was quite skilled at Occlumency and this was an important skill to learn

Miles then pushed the influnce more making it stronger he then lowered his wand leavingIris's mind, he then watched to see how she would handle the power of the increased influence

As though something had hit her harder than before, Iris bent low over the table, gluing herself on her seat until she can finally resist the influence much stronger at that moment. Like what happened earlier, she did the same process again. Every now and then putting enough effort to hold on to her grip. Hr breathing went faster as the time rushed by. The sensation was as though you were having a major exercise wherein you can't even take a good rest in peace. She gasped for more air and continued on. She muttered words of persuasion to herself as she put both of her hands on the table, ready to stop the force that can make her follow what she was being told.

The moments passed and nothing became more important to Iris than this. If ever she would succeed, it would be such an accomplishment in her life. To be able to defeat and defy the temptation she's having. More especially when you were still on your third year.

She straightened up and casted one side of her to full determination. While the other was already giving up. The Slytherin knew better than to fall for it. No, not this time anymore again. She felt drips of sweat emerging from her head as she continued to struggle for survival. Waiting for the pain to end.

Miles watched intently as Iris was batteling with the influence, she looked as though she was really having quite a struggle to the point in which it looked like it was causing her pain

Miles became filled with concern worried that perhaps he'd made the influence to strong, he continued to watch as Iris battled with the influence she wasn't showing any signs of giving up she must be getting so tired from this mental drain she will feel so weak after it Miles thought to himself

Miles then took a firm grip of his wand and aimed it Iris he was going to pull out the influence, it was getting to a dangerous point he wasn't sure how much more Iris's mind could take, Miles then tightened his grip then flicked his wand inserting a voice into Iris's head " One more minute Iris, and then I have to withdraw the influence im sorry" Miles made sure his voice eechoed through Iris's entire mind

Iris wanted it to end. It was too much. As though she was being stabbed harder and harder as the time ticks by. When will it finally stop? Can she plead? No. She can't. That's one sure signal of weakness and not bearing full strong will. She had to finish this battle. She needs to.

The girl continued without opening her eyes, focusing as hard as ever before. She felt weary, tired, a major exhaustion inside of her. She gave one gasp and collapsed on the ground before taking in what had happened to what she did. Was it enough?

Miles continued to watch Iris it seemed as though she had ignored him, Miles noticed Iris suddenly go pale. Miles began to walk closer to her then suddenly she collappsed on the floor

Miles raced over to her shaking her body " Iris, Iris" Miles kept calling her name. A wave of fear came across Miles I shouldn't have made the influence that strong Miles thought to himself

" Iris, you need to wake up" Miles said with panic heavy in his voice, Miles then shook her body once more hoping she would recover and wake up

A vision suddenly came to Iris as she drifted into her unconsciousness. She was very happy. Spending a wonderful time with her friends. Plenty of them to be exact. Another came and she's having the moment of her life with her parents and playing with Vee. Again, the third arrived and she was laughing in a conversation with her favorite professors. Especially with her kind mentor.

What she didn't know was the last of it came. The girl suddenly became horror-struck. The unknown place was dark, gloomy, and noting you have ever imagined to happen during the peak of your happiness. She was all alone. There was no one or even nothing beside her. Worse, there was no hint of light to guide her path.

The space changed. She was at Hogwarts. But the castle was unlike the present. It was unrecognizable. The place was burning with fire. And there lay dead bodies in front of her. The students, her loved ones.
Iris opened her eyes, breathing rapidly. She looked around and found the professor in panic. She felt her white face, her hands, and gazed the room with confusion. What actually happened? She asked herself. She wanted the answer. Was the practice successful? Did she do it finally? Why was she on the ground?

There are so many questions she had to ask, but she was too shocked to utter a single word.

Iris began to slowly begin to open her eyes, a wave of relief poured over Miles, though he noticed she was still quite pale and she looked around the room in a dazed sort of way, she still seemed to be abit out of it

Miles held out his hand and slowly pulled Iris back on her feet, she didn't look that well her face was still incrediably pale and he eyes seemed to be partly glazed over

" Iris how do you feel" Miles asked then suddenly realising what a stupid question that was She just collapsed how do you think she feels Miles you moron Miles said to himself in a rude tone

Miles then looked back at Iris, " Would you like to go to the Hospital Wing, or would you like to continue with the rest of the class, dont worry there won't be anymore practicals" Miles said with a reassuring smile as he waited for Iris to reply

Iris stood up quite unbalanced with the help of the professor. She took her seat again slowly, as though there was something difficult about it. She looked at the professor and tried to speak. But she can't because of the trauma. She shook her head in disagreement about taking her to the Hospital Wing. She wouldn't. Besides, she can settle herself sooner. Like nothing had happened. She can't miss the lesson either. What a stupid thing to think of that she can fully overcome being influenced. For her, she was too weak for any of it. Even during physical lessons with the other subjects. It's one fact that she took up only subjects with no regards to extra-curricular activities. But Occlumency is the only exception to that category. She needed to accomplish these tasks for her own good. That's the point of all this.

Iris cleared her throat and concluded that this time, she can now manage herself to utter the questions. She began with no rush and took her time to complete the words out of her dry mouth, "What . . . happened? Profes . . . sor?"

Miles only just able to make out the question which Iris had asked him, he looked at her for a while with a kind of ashamed look, he didn't quite know how to answer this question. Miles felt as though it was his fault for pushing Iris to hard

Miles then gave a small smile " Well... I think becuse you were mentally drained from the previous practial and becuse this influence was abit stronger your mind couldn't handle it and shut down" Miles paused looking down at the ground then back up at Iris " And so because you were resisting so hard you collasped"

Miles patted Iris's back then walked up to the front of the class and stood in front of his desk " So to resist an influence it requires a lot of will power, you must be able to be in great control of your emotions so that when the influence comes you can recall a happy time or even an angry time about the particular subject" Miles then flicked his wand at the chalk, the chalk then began writing down what Miles had just said

" I'll just get you to copy that down Miss Frances, no need to rush take your time" Miles then stared out the window as he waited for Iris to finish

Serenity walked in, wondering what the class will be like. The professor right now, said it was great. However, he was a different professor.

"Hello Miles." She greeted. "Sorry I am late, I got caught up doing something."

Miles looked up at the door as he saw someone enter, at first he thought it was a student but once he got a proper look he saw it was Serenity he smiled warmly as she apologised that she was late

" Oh Serenity, no thats fine it's good your here now the kids do need their proper Professor" Miles walked over to the desk and picked up his satchal, and walked back towards Serenity

" Ok, so I'll leave you to it" Miles smiled as began walking out the door

Iris copied down her notes, feeling the throbbing sound of her head where the spot she had fallen to a while ago and turned upward to see who had just come. A new professor? Great. Professor Bloxam was fine for her. But maybe this new pretty woman would be suitable to deal with. Well, she may look a lot softer than the very previous one. Besides, she can still see him in History. Nothing was lost. Except if this new one would go hard on her.

She sighed and stopped writing, easing the pain on her forehead and giving an appropriate greeting to the new teacher,

"Good day professor. Finally had a settlement now."
