Lesson Two (First Years) Empty Lesson Two (First Years)

Post by Blaire Vandever Mon Jan 16, 2012 6:22 pm

Blaire sat on her desk at the front of the classroom, waiting for class to start. She had had more first years sign up for her class this year than ever before. She was happy, though, because she enjoyed being able to teach as many children as she could.

Blaire looked out at the classroom before her and sighed. She missed her Herbology green houses, but it was nice teaching DADA and having an actual classroom. The desks were in two rows that stretched all the way to the back of the class. Each desk sat two children, and there was an area under them where they could keep all of there stuff.

"I wonder where those little firsties are," Blaire wondered aloud, looking down at the watch she had gotten for her 17th birthday. "They're about to be late!"

Cecile stepped into the room, being sure to step carefully after tripping in the hall. She sat down at one of the desks. Since she was the first one in class, she decided to take out the muggle science fiction book that her father sent her for Christmas. She knew that people would make fun of her for reading it, but she couldn't help but marvel at the worlds that they could create within their own imagination.

Humming quietly to herself, Savannah headed towards Defence Against the Dark Arts. This was going to be fun. She could just feel it. She'd been waiting for this class ever since she'd heard about Hogwarts and she couldn't help but love the class. Sighing, she stepped into the class, feeling unreasonably happy "Hello Professor Vandever!"

Sitting down at one of the desks, she fiddled with her books.

Kirsten marched into the DADA classroom, a frown on her face as she was in a very rare bad mood. Things had not been going well lately; added to the stress of a few of her close friends being accused of some nasty things by a misled Headmaster.

She dropped her books with a loud clash onto the desk and she glowered over at Savannah. God, that donkey sucker was in almost every single one of her classes; it was like there was no escape.

She cast her eyes over Professer Vandever. She'd heard through the grapevine that her lessons were mediocre at best; however she was not one to judge just on whispers. She guessed she'd have to make up her own mind ...

The door to the DADA classroom was open he checked his Italian Muggle watch and saw that he was on time.

He entered quietly and placed his books on the space next to Kirsten quickly moved to the front of the classroom and spoke swiftly to the teacher

"I apologise for missing the first lesson, I have had family issues back in Italy... I hope you can forgive me" he returned to his seat and whispered to Kirsten

"Hello, another lesson together" he smiled

Storm walked toward the DADA classroom. Everything seemed to be going very well today, so it took her less time than usually. She'd also really been looking forward to this class.
"Hello Professor Vandever," she smiled, as she walked in. Storm sat down by an empty desk, and glanced around the room. A few students sat scattered around the classroom, and she recognized a few of them. She was on the edge of her seat, excitedly waiting for the lesson to begin.

Her bad mood melted away as soon as Vincent entered the classroom. She grinned broadly at him, super glad that he was back, and in most of her classes. She had missed him dearly whilst he'd been away.

"Hey you," she said. "How are you?"

"Ahhh, Italy," Kirsten sighed dreamily, "I've never been, but it looks so beautiful. I hope you had a good time despite your family issues?"

She knew very little of what Vincent had had to deal with in his home country, so she chose not to pry, instead she caught his ever-watchful gaze and smiled. "I'm glad your back," she added softly, almost a whisper, continuing to look into Vincent's eyes ... "I- I missed you."

Vincent grinned widely and was blushing slightly when kirsten whispered.
he looked at his watch the lesson hadn't started and it was pracitally over.
    "good lesson" he joked.

She giggled in response, stunned how quickly time passed just sitting in Vincent's company.

"I'm truly enlightened," she added drily, "I feel like I can defend myself against anything dark that comes my way!"

He could help but let out a very loud laugh, he quickly closed his mouth and apologized to the teacher, he had his books ready for a swift escape with Kirsten.

If only the teacher would let them go.

[OOC: Second that, Blaire. Just keeping in character of mischievous firsties Wink ]

Following Vincent's lead, she quickly and quietly packed up her books. The thought of getting out into fresh air was tortorously tantalizing ... she had the sudden, rare urge to go running somewhere ... maybe with Vincent!
