Sophia was pacing, the restless movement making her familiar restless in turn. Several times, she started towards the door, only to abort the action and return to pacing. The woman wrung her hands. Why was this so bloody nerve-wracking?? The day was crawling, far too slowly. What if Collin got sick? or cried for her? It didn't matter that he was an infant - he knew who his mother was!
The woman adored Pan, of course. She was a kind elf; good. But this wasn't the damn housework or cooking or anything of the sort. It was her child.
With an aggravated huff, she paced some more, even as Magus croaked at her in protest of the emotions she was inadvertently sending to the raven through their bond.
