Turn Around (DamIva)

Damian listened to Asric's retreating footsteps, glancing up and looking for a long while before he was convinced the man was really gone. He rubbed the back of his neck, face still burning.

"He did that on purpose!" he grumbled discontentedly. He peeked up at Iva, a small smile tugging at his lips as he noticed how red her face was.

"Sorry about that," Damian mumbled. "I, uh..." He shifted a bit. This was awkward. The way they had been before had felt so... so...

Damian sighed.

Iva met his eyes, looking away right after the awkward contact. She brushed off her skirt, trying to regain her pride.

"I-I- should go. I have the homework, yes?" she lied. She did have homework, but she never really did it anyway.

"I will see you later, then?"

Damian glanced up at her. The last thing he wanted was for her to go, but he wouldn't obstruct her homework. School was important, after all.

He put a finger under her chin, gently raising her head so she would meet his eye. Then, he pressed a kiss to her lips, far more chaste than the previous one, but every bit as meaningful.

"I love you," he murmured. "I'm so glad you're back.

"See you later." He gave her a soft smile.

Iva leaned into the kiss, humming happily. She pulled away, hips against hips, blue meeting blue.

"I love you too," she replied, rolling his hips into his suddenly before walking away. She looked back and stuck out her tongue, pleased in her teasing.

"Bye Damian," she laughed, walking out of the tower.

Damian made a sound that was somewhere between satisfaction and frustration as Iva walked away. A crooked smile spread across his face.

She was back and she was safe. Most importantly, she was his.
