Fourth Year, Charms Lesson1

Crystal was very excited about getting to Charms. It was one of her favorite lessons, only beaten by flying. She got up the stairs and made her way to the classroom. She smiled as she walked in and took her seat. She barely even noticed she was the first on there.

Pandora eneterd the charms classroom and sat down at the back. She got her book and stuff out and waited for the lesson to begin.

Paloma greeted the two girls as she walked in the room and made her way to the front.

"How's Hogwarts so far, Pandora?" she asked the other Durmstrang.

"I think The Castle is breath Takingly Beautiful, But it has nothing on Durmstrang though." Pandora said with a smile.

"It my change my views half way through the year. What about you?" Pandora asked.

Lena waltzed into the class, hoping to see some familiar faces as well as some unfamiliar ones, and she did. She found them in the form of Paloma, and the two other children she had seen in several of her classes. "Heeeeeey!" Lena grinned, walking past them.

Paloma laughed a bit, while putting her books on the desk. "Really? I think the Hogwarts castle is just. . . amazing. Even more than Durmstrang. I've always found our school a bit. . . meh," she admitted, "Haven't really made new friends, though, that's a bit of a down point. But I'm enjoying it so far."

Another voice caught her attention and she looked up to find a fellow Uchitel. "Hi Lena," she greeted.

Thomas walked into see Crystal along with 3 other girls. Thomas walked in and took a seat next to Crystal. "Well, well, well, long time no see" Thomas smirked. "Hey" Thomas nodded to the other girls. He didn't want to be mean.

Hades walked in and was thankful he saw Thomas there because there was girls there also. Hades grabbed the seat in front of Thomas and Crystal. "Thank god you're here Thomas. I would have died if I was stuck alone with all girls" Hades said to Thomas. "Hello ladies and Crystal" Hades said loud enough for the girls to hear but Crystal was right there. "Sorry" Hades whispered to her. He had a feeling Thomas would kill him now.

Riley ran into Charms, excited. She had always loved this class-it was chaotic and fun, like her. She grinned at the Durmstrang girls-she had had them in all her classes, it seemed. Then she greeted the other guys. "Hi Crys, Hades, Tom," she smiled at them. "How was your summers?

Caleb ran into the classroom and shot a glare at Thomas. "Seriously Tom, you slapped me and ran and then almost knocked over Hades" Caleb said. Caleb sat next to Riley. "Sup Riley" Caleb smirked at Riley with his famous smirk.

Lenora walked into the classroom to see her students. "Hello everyone, welcome to Hogwarts, I see there are Drumstrang girls here, my name is Lenora Malfoy but call me professor Malfoy, I'm your charms professor" Lenora walked to the board and grabbed her wand and wrote Accio.

"Can anyone tell me what this does" Lenora pointed to what was on the board.

Hades heard someone come in and saw Riley. "Hey Riley" Hades waved to her. Maybe Iris was running a little late Hades thought. Hades heard more footsteps come in and saw professor Malfoy. He turned to face front and waited for directions. Hades raised his hand.

"Accio is a summoning spell, all you have to do is say Accio and then an object and it will come to you" Hades lowered his hand.

Paloma watched as three boys, plus Riley, joined the class, and gave them all a small smile as they walked by.

When the Charms professor - Professor Malfoy, she'd said - wrote Accio on the board, Paloma groaned mentally. Not that spell.

Though she knew exactly what the summong spell did, she stayed quiet and listened to the Gryffindor boy while he talked.

Adele secretly walked into the classroom, acting as if she was some sort of ninja.She sat quietly at the back of the class, not saying a word.

Lena rolled her eyes at the Gryffindor noy who had answered. Was this how Hogwarts students answer questions? With such a primitive answer? Quickly, she added, "Its entomology is from the Latin word 'accio', which means 'to summon.' The further away the object is, the harder it is to summon it. However, as long as one has the image of the object clearly in their mind they should not have much of a problem with summoning that object."

Riley scribbled down Lena's words on the origin, adding what Hades had said so that it looked thorough and like she wasn't being too picky. Of course, she knew what the spell did. It was quite simple. But she hadn't actually known about the Latin origins. She quickly turned her head to smirk back at Caleb and looked back to grin at Adele. She quickly turned her focus back to the board and started her mental debate about whether she should bring up the countercurse now, or if the professor was going to, or if, in fact, they weren't to know about the countercurse just yet.

Paloma couldn't help but grin when Lena added to the answer. That was how it was done back at Durmstrang, students often complementing what the other had said.

She was reminded of a Transfiguration lesson on werewolves, Animagi and Metamorphmagi from the third year. That was a good lesson. . .

Fron the corner of her eye, she saw a girl had arrived, but she snapped her head back up to look at the professor, wondering if she'd ask any more questions.

The accio spell was to summom things ovbiously. Pandora wrote it down though. A girl came in, but she didn't look up.

Crystal smiled at her friends and then playfully glared at Hades. "Thanks." she mumbled and saw as more people came in. She wrote down the notes for Accio. It was a simple spell but they always started off simply.

Lenora heard someone come in. "15 points to Gryffindor because Mr. Andrews got the question right and 5 points from Gryffindor for being late" Lenora said to the girl who walked in. "Okay today we will be practicing the spell. Point it at an object, okay I will want this book so say. Accio book" Lenora said and the book was now in her hand.

"Now I want you to stand up and find something in the room and make it magically come to your hands with that spell" Lenora said to her students.

Paloma sighed, knowing she wouldn't have too much trouble. Beside the fact that Charms - along with Transfiguration - was one of her best subjects, she already knew the spell and had used it a few times.

It had taken a while to learn, but her sister had finally taught her the summer before third year and it had become one of her favourites - despite the fact it brought back memories of things she'd rather hadn't happened. But it was useful, especially when she was too lazy to get up and get something.

She smirked and scanned over the room, looking for something interesting. She'd thought about messing with someone and summoning their robes, but she was unsure if that would be a good idea, so she sighed and chose something else.

Concentrating hard on Riley's notes, the Uchitel said, in a clear voice, "Accio Riley's notes."

The note flew out of her desk and into Paloma's hands while she smiled at the Ravenclaw and got up to return it.

"Gah," Riley gasped, looking around in shock. She grinned at Paloma. The Ravenclaw stood up and grabbed her wand up. The Ravenclaw searched the room. "Hmmm..." Riley looked around and then her eyes fell upon a bowl. "Accio bowl!" she said triumphantly, than she flinched away, laughing a little bit, when it bumped into Paloma. "Sorry, Paloma," she called as the bowl clattered to the ground-thank God for plastic. She went to go reset it up. "Sorry, Paloma," she said again, grinning sheepishly.

Lena rolled her eyes. She had cast this spell as a little first year, so of course she was going to find the task a little easy. Well, at least the casting bit was easy... the catching bit, however, wasn't. It may be because she wasn't much of an athletic person or her hand-eye co-ordination was absolutely terrible. She glanced around the room until she found something she wanted to take, which happened to be the chalk sitting prettily on the Professor's desk. "Accio chalk," she muttered, pointing her wand directly at the chalk. The chalk flew slowly but surely in the air, a mirror of her fight for concentration. Just when the chalk was within reach, Lena reached her hand to catch it, and for the first time in four years, she did it.

"Yay!" she screamed, standing up from her seat and clutching the chalk in her hand. The chalk then broke into two and the Uchitel watched as both pieces crumbled onto the ground. "Whoops."

Paloma jumped back when something hit her and she looked up to see Riley laughing and a bowl on the floor.

She chuckled, "It's okay. I stole your notes, after all, I deserve some payback."
