Charms Lesson 2; Second Year

Charlotte walked to the Charm's classroom, taking her sweet time. She sucked on a Sugar Quill as she went, enjoying the sweet taste in her mouth. When she entered the class, she chose a seat off the side. She started to twirl a piece of hair around her hand, her tell-tale sign of boredom.

She was surprised, really. She had been late to every single class last semester, and now here she is, the first one here! She felt rather proud, as silly as its sounds.

She began to hum to herself, waiting for the next students to come in.

Twirling her wand around in her fingers, Savannah glanced around the hallways as she made her way to the classroom, cringing everytime she spotted a passing cat. Glaring at it, she finally got to the class. Ignoring the girl, she hummed to herself, taking a seat as far away fro her as possible.

Lenora walked into the classroom and went to her desk. There were only two girls there at this moment. "Welcome back. This lesson will be based on the spell Incendio. Can one of you tell me what that spell does" Lenora looked at the girls.

Nodding over at the professor as she entered, Savannah paused for a moment, mulling over her question. Raising her hand, Savannah hummed softly to herself, "Incendio makes fire."

Valerie walked in and saw the professor already there. "Sorry" Valerie apologized for her tardiness. Man, why couldn't she actually be on time before the professor gets to the class. It was pretty annoying, she had to get her act together for being late.

Belinda forgot her wand in her room so she had to go back and get it. Belinda walked in and saw the professor was already here. "Sorry I'm late" Belinda apologized. She took a seat next to her sister and waited for the professor to start the lesson or continue.

Bridget walked in and saw professor Malfoy already there and had the class started by the looks of it. Bridget took an empty seat and nodded her apology to the professor. She waited to see what they were going to have to do next.

Lenora nodded when Savannah got it right. "Good, 15 points to Gryffindor" Lenora told everyone. Three girls came in late and she nodded. "15 points off of Hufflepuff, since there were three of you late" Lenora told the girls. "Okay so for this lesson you're going to light this piece of paper on fire" Lenora handed paper to her students. "Don't be upset if you don't get it on your first try, begin" Lenora told them.

Grinning as points were awarded to her house, Savannah clapped her hands together. She was slowly making up for those she'd lost in Transfiguration. Glancing at the piece of paper, she pulled out her wand, twirling it around.

Setting stuff on fire sounded oddly, fun. Humming to herself, she said, "Incendio." To her relief, the very edge of the paper caught on fire. Watching the glow spread, she grinned.

Charlotte raised her hand as the Professor asked a question, but Savannah beat her to the answer. Scowling, she lowered her hand and looked around at the three girls who entered the class late. Rolling her eyes, she turned back to the front of the room and watched the Professor.

Her eyes lit up at the instructions, but not with happiness. She wasn't the biggest fan of fire, despite the fact that she had experience using it. After all, she had set her house on fire a few years previously. Pointing her wand at the paper, she muttered "Incendio," and after nothing happened, said it a second time, a tad bit louder.

She grinned as the fire went up in flames all at once. She leaned away slightly, wary of the flames flickering to close to her.

Bridget looked at the paper and got out her wand. She took a deep breath and let it out. "Incendio" Nothing happened. Bridget ran a hand threw her hair and tried again. "Incendio" She said a little bit louder. Still nothing. Bridget sighed and cleared her mind like her mother told her to do when she practiced magic. "Incendio" That's when the flames happened. Bridget smiled that she finally did that.
