History of magic- Founders of Hogwarts (COMBINED CLASS!)

Koehl laughed at the sing song voice. "Yes, terribly boring. There are some places I really wouldn't want to visit."

"Of course!" Anna grinned. "And there are places I want to visit so badly it hurts. Like Sweden and Norway and France and... and..."

"Ah, France really is nice this year. I've always wanted to visit Australia." Koehl smiled sadly at the thought of France, her homeland, and then perked up at the thought of Australia.

"Australia?" Anna asked merrily. "I've always wanted to go to Sydney... to what-it-called... um... oh yeah! The Sydney Opera House! And see a play - or even be one of the performers! Yes!"

Genevieve was lazily sitting in class waiting for class to start when she heard two second years mention Australia.
"Australia really is quite lovely though it does get rather hot" she commented trying to be moe social. "I go there every year my family owns a summer house there where we spend the holidays."

"Ooh," Anna smiled. "That's cool! What's your name? I'm Annabeth, but call me Anna, Ann, Beth, whatever."

Koehl extended a hand to the Slytherin first year. "Koehl, at your service. I could only imagine how hot it got, like into the one hundreds!" Koehl paled at the thought of that type of heat.

J. J. was getting restless again. She began to fidget more, turning in her seat to look at every corner of the room.
She wasn't going to ask, once again, when class was going to start, because Karma's response was right. It will start when it starts.
But she was hoping it would start soon. She was getting tired of just sitting around.
Well, just sitting around, and sort of accidently on purpose listening in to a conversation from a couple of older students. She didn't completely mean to but they were close to her, and the only once in the room making noise. It was hard not to hear them.
Sighing she began drumming her fingers on her desk. She just wanted class to begin.

Karma glanced at her firstie. She was antsy. Karma pulled out another chocolate frog and took a big bite of its head. She chewed the chocolate frog thoughtfully as she picked up the card. Harry Potter. Huh. She slid the card over to JJ and smiled.

J. J. stopped fidgeting for a moment and took the card Karma offered her with a smile as thanks.
She picked it up, Harry Potter. She had heard of him before, everyone seemed to have something to say about Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort, and the great battle. It was the one magical event she wasn't completely clueless about. It was one of the easiest to find information about.
Still she skimmed the back of Harry's card, soaking up the words that were there.
'The boy who lived' - 'the chosen one'.
J. J. snorted at them, and shook her head sympathetically.
She couldn't imagine going around with those titles swarming around her, people always expecting something.
She was having enough trouble with the whole idea of magic in the first place.
She flipped it back over to stare at Harry's picture a bit longer. It looked a little uncomfortable with being on there. She smiled sadly as she put it down with the other two cards.
She had three now.
Not a bad little collection she thought to herself, for a girl who less than an hour ago didn't know what chocolate frogs or Quidditch was.

As Tobi sat there listening to the conversations all around him he began to wonder when class would begin. He let out a sigh and decided peruse his book.

"Alright! Pipe down!" Gene raised his voice and the class fell silent.

"Now, as students of History, one much be able to tell me the Founders of Hogwarts. Who are they?" He asked.

Alessa raised her hand answered as soon as she was called. "Rowena Ravenclaw, Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin and Helena Hufflepuff."

Koehl smiled as class finally began. The first question was easy, but the answer had already been said. oh well She thought

J. J. snapped alert as the Professor began to speak.
Finally, she thought with relief.
She hoped that having something to listen to would finally help her settle down.
She held her quill over her parchment, and scribbled down the four founders of Hogwarts as another student told the professor.
She was ready to learn.

Genevieve smiled at the two second years she had spoken to and turned around in her seat quill poised to copy down facts.

Desdemona hurried through the door and realized class had begun already....and it was a combined class!
"Sorry I'm late Professor, my schedule got mixed up." she said as she looked around for a seat. Late to another class, great.

"Correct. And... What are the characteristics of the Houses that they lead?" He asked, looking around at the enormous class.

Alexis gasped as she ran. Damn! she is late again.
"May I come in, Professor? I'm sorry for being late." She took a seat near the back and pulled out her parchment and quill. She could see Alessa, Anna and a few faces she had seen before.

"Gryffindor is bravery," Anna replied calmly, though in reality her mind was simply a train wreck of thoughts. "Hufflepuff is loyalty, Ravenclaw is intelligence, or wit, and Slytherin is ambitious, or cunning."

"Correct. So the two of you earlier on whom I acknowledged and answered correctly, get ten points each. Now! Someone tell me, what is... The Chamber of Secrets..?"

Alexis raised her hand, 'The Chamber of Secrets is the chamber made by Salazar Slytherin at the underground of the Hogwarts castle as a resting place for his familiar, a basilisk. It's also rumoured to contain his researchworks and journals.

"The entrance to it was a sink in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, I think," Anna added hastily to Alexis's answer, determined to get more points. "To enter the Chamber, you must speak 'Enter', or something like that, in Parseltongue."

Koehl smiled at Alexis and Anna's little points competition. It really was quite amusing to watch. Koehl frowned some, I really should participate more. Hufflepuff needs all the points they can get. Its not like Keiko really had time to say anything. They we're lighting with their responses.

J. J. fingered the card with Slytherin's grimacing face as the other mentioned the Chamber of Secrets. The card hadn't said much, and Karma had only embellished a little further, but something she said stuck in her brain and the others had yet to mention it.
Hesitantly, she raised her hand.
"I believe," she stated upon being called on, "that the Chamber was opened when Harry Potter was at school, and he killed the Basilisk."
She wasn't entirely sure if she remembered that fact correctly, but it felt nice to participate none the less. She looked down at her parchment where she had written down all the other points.
